Didn't know Hendry had a youtube channel. That's me going down a rabbit hole..
It's really great if you're into snooker, and even if you're not as there are plenty of non-snooker guests. His episode with Ronnie is just great. Just two absolute legends having a knock and a chat. The "tough table challenge" he does with the pros is great too.

Very similar to Kane when he got back from ankle injury. Took a few weeks to be back to his old self.

It will be interesting to see if it’s just a case of Maddison, Sarr and Bissouma gelling again and getting back to full match fitness.

On paper, with the exception of the full backs it was our strongest line up but we looked like a team running on fumes and without any cohesion.

For me:

Maddison - still lacking match fitness but will get back to his best

Sarr - looks like he needs a rest but will return to his best

Bissouma - I would say he also needs a rest after his recent Malaria but it’s hard to tell whether it’s a fitness issue or if his head is elsewhere based on his poor performances pre his second suspension

Bentancur - he looked really good after returning from his long term knee injury but he’s been a shadow of his former self following his ankle injury.

we Have a great set of lads, a lot have come back from long injuries, it must be so frustrating for them let’s give them support and I’m sure results and performances will improve.

Was always going to take a while to get up to speed.

2 months out.

People are using VdV and Romero as examples but Maddison is asked to be out creative spark and that means you need to be super super sharp to be effective.

Romero and Vdv have more time on the ball naturally.

I find defenders settle quicker than attackers after injury.

Wingers are the same, they have doubts in 1v1s as they lack that sharpness to do it effortlessly

Frustrating, but it has only been a few weeks. He has a top mentality, he won't want to miss the Euro's. When he finds his touch, things will click. I just wish we had a reliable, fit back up AM, but time is needed for that.

I do think if Madders was on song, we would definitely have been far better up top and scored more

The constant changes around him wouldn’t have helped matters. Pre injury we had a settled team. Whereas since his return we’ve had multiple combinations in both central midfield and up front. Davies and Emerson looking clueless against Wolves won’t have help either. With Udogie and Porro, Maddison knows they will be where he expects them to be but this wasn’t the case with Davies and Emerson.

Until we see a settled team again the issues will persist. Getting both Udogie and Porro back will be a massive boost but Ange needs to decide who of Bissouma, Sarr and Bentancur will start in central midfield. Who will play up top and/or through the middle out of Son, Richarlison, Kulusevski, Werner and Johnson. It doesn’t help that they’re all either in a mixture of failing to flatter form or have limitations to their play that kills our build up play.

For me we should be playing:

—————— Sarr —— Bentancur ——————
Johnson —— Maddison —— Werner
————————— Son ————————————

Sarr - Athleticism, pressing and high energy
Bentancur - composure and passing ability
Maddison - creator
Johnson - pace and directness
Werner - pace and directness
Son - pace and the ability to score both in and outside the box with both feet

Yeah. I know it’s not everything, but his output this season is : 3 goals and 7 assists.

Last season he scored 10 and made 9 assists for a relegated Leicester. The season before he scored 12 and made 8 assists.

I think if he’s fully fit and on form for us, his goals and assists figures are both in the double digits. That could be an extra 6 or 7 points at this stage.

I just watched the full video of how his Mum and Dad found out about his cerebal palsy and how he learned to walk and then wrote to Tottenham to ask if he could get a mention on the scoreboard (that's all), until Madders saw it and got him invited down to the ground and walked out with young Samuel. I must admit I choked up a bit when I watched it.

It was on the official team f/book page if you want to see it.
