We won 11 out of out last 12 games, all with pressure on. Chelsea have won 10 out or their last 12. The problem wasn't a winning mentality, it was winning whilst juggling the CL and wjilst Kane and Toby were injured, getting to far behind.
It's been a geat run, no doubt about that. We still lost to Chelsea in the cup, though. And we have taken 3/18 available points away to the top 7.

Our away record is something I'm sure we will improve on next year even if it had been marginally better this year, I think we would have clinched the title.

Keep moving those goalposts.
There are lots of games where experience comes in handy. Maybe winning mentality is the wrong choice of words, it's definitely a bit of a cliché. But I firmly believe that our young, inexperienced side would benefit from the influence of an experienced winner.

Chelsea only have 1 point more than us v the top 6.
Fair enough.

From @dovahkiin

ali z on walker: Not just about money he is gone we are looking for a replacement.
we have bid £20 m for a player from overseas.
I have been warned by Mods not to post with out evidence so all I can say - is he has issues personally , has caused issues in the camp and his injury well let's say club think he could play.

Yeah as I've said before, there are times when we are simply not streetwise enough. The margin between being very, very good and being the best can be small, but that final step is often the hardest to take. Sometimes it can be bridged by just having the most money and the greatest talent, and other times some experience and know how can make the difference.

Wonder if Sissoko joining on higher wages, not showing anything for it has pissed off Walker, and he's stirring up anti-Levy/Director sentiment to other players by saying they should be on more.

"Not just the money" could be included in that reasoning, because he's brought others into it.

I don't buy the rotation thing being the root cause, rather Poch's response to him drumming up higher wage chat with other players.

Not knocking the ITK at all, but are we even allowed to start bidding for players yet?
What are the rules?

Yes you can bid anytime. The transfer window is simply the period you can register players so players can't actually join until the window opens.

Nah you're just wildly speculating.

If he's caused issues in the camp then why's Poch been playing him? This doesn't sound like something Poch would do. If something doesn't make sense then it's not true

If Poch drops him, trains with the kids etc it's obvious to all concerned he's unwanted and they'll bid accordingly. That's one possible explanation anyway.

Sounds like he's been tapped up. A shame, will be a big miss particularly on that big Wembley pitch and Trippier's defending one on one still doesn't convince me.

There are degrees of issues right. Not all situations are cut and dry in an Adebayor obviously being a complete tool sense and this all seems to have happened in the tail end of our title chase so poch has probabaly been trying to keep things as steady as possible.

Walker has been at the club a long time so shame to see him bow out like this

IIRC, both Meunier (PSG) and Bruno Peres (Roma) said they had offers from us last Summer. If so, it may indicate that we've been looking to replace Walker for a little while now.
