I don't think Trippier was horrendous today but he genuinely did fuck all

The problem I have is I'm not too comfortable with him defensively. If walker were to go I think we will be a bit fucked down our right. Walker today was in the exact same position that trippier found himself in against martial except walker defended it expertly.

I like how Trippier has a great eye for a pass but I think I like the intensity we get from Walker more, just possibly. Especially when we have Rose on the other side too and I just think it compliments our high energy and high pressure way of playing so much.

Trippier is good and has room to improve but Walker does things few full backs can. His pace is exceptional coupled with athleticism and stamina that allow him to roam up and down the pitch, often getting away with being out of position, He is I think a better defender plus he adds a presence that worries opponents. He and Rose are intimidating when added to the attacking threat of Alli, Eriksen and Kane. I hope we keep both right backs as these last two seasons show you need quality replacements in key positions to challenge on several fronts

Who knows, the likes of Rooney and even Slippy G have seemingly nearly left.. maybe this situation can be resolved..

Apparently in the dressing room after the game, Dele Alli said to Walker, 'How can you leave after that amazing ceremony?'.

He replied, 'I can't'.

You can see that physically Walker is a complete beast, he's capable of physically dominating opponents in a way Trippier is not.

It's just a shame really, he's our longest serving player and there's just really no need for him to go.

As I've said a few times, losing Walker will not be a good thing for the club, no matter how we try and dress it up. Hopefully though the impact isn't too great and we can use the money to reinvest in giving Poch greater quality in the first team. That relies on us buying much better than we did last summer though.

One mistake doesn't mean trippier isn't good enough. But we are and will be far better with Walker. I'm not looking fwrd to seeing him in a city shirt. I don't have much confidance we will buy a good replacement in

That's one problem I have. I don't trust us to replace him effectively. Seems like he's off though if he won't buy into Poch's team ethic. For too long we've been about individuals and not the team. It's about time that changed.

I was beginning to feel more comfortable with the idea of Trippier becoming our first-choice RB, but he did receive a bit of a fucking by Martial today. I know Walker wasn't on the pitch for long, but Martial's threat was pretty much eradicated as soon as he came on.

In my view if Walker goes Tripper is not an option to be the senior RB

I've been saying this for a while. Trippier is good against teams who play a deep block and barely attack. Whenever I've seen Trippier against attacking teams with pace he gets troubled. I think Poch is testing him for the big games to see how he copes before making a decision on a new rb.
