and if he plays and doesnt score a hattrick while shagging the manager's daughter, we need to release him. Clearly he doesn't want it enough. If he's not captain, we need to recall him.

What you need to look for in a youth player is application, desire, vision across the pitch (Not just when you've got the ball at your feet).
I'm not saying Marcus doesn't have those things, but they're not as well developed yet.
Totally disagree. In the modern technical game, most top-level coaches are looking for game knowledge, technique/ ability and tactical understanding. Edwards has a lot of these traits.
Marcus Edwards is a 'get you out of your seat' player for sure, but for me, until he develops those other parts to his game, he'll be seen as a luxury player. And I think the game has moved on from the days when a luxury player could be accommodated, in the English leagues at least...
Agree. Thankfully, English football at the top pro & youth level have evolved. Raheem Stirling & Adam Lallana are good examples of this. Flexible and able to play effectively, in many positions across the front line. Edwards, has the potential & attributes to reach that level. Hopefully his potential is realised and not boxed in or stereotyped.
If he's not captain, we need to recall him.
We need thoughts and prayers....Daniel Farke: “Wes Hoolahan and Marcus Edwards are both available and both in my thoughts”
Think in an earlier article (above your post) the manager say's he won't be involved until after the international break.Still not managed to make the bench
Only in the warm up, he's on the bench.has he kicked the ball yet!

2-1 nowNorwich 2-0 up, so there's a good chance he could get some minutes at the end if the games wrapped up.
