He can definitely impose himself on games. He's proved that in the youth tournaments.

All he needs to do now is find that in the senior game. If he needs 4 6 month loans over the next couple of years to find that, fine. I just hope he does.

Farke said it's too early to bring him in to the squad.

Just makes no sense to me. Why loan a player you don’t think is ready. Effectively he has 14 weeks there. If he’s gonna be sitting on his arse for another 6 weeks he could have been playing in UYL and U23.

hate to break it but the kid has done nothing to earn such rave reviews.
its just talk talk tal and lots of talk. His agent is doing a fantastic job.

the faster this boy gets his head out of his ass the better. Looking very much like one named Adel Taarabth

Marcus said he’ll get his head out of ass if you stop talking out of yours.

even if it takes six weeks for him to get onto the pitch it's still better than playing a few youth games for us. farke has already said why they took him, he said it's a gamble and one that may take time but if it pays off they'll have one of the best players in the championship. if it goes well then i imagine they may be looking at having him next season as well, unless he rips it up to the point where we (or bigger loan clubs) can't ignore him.

At least he’s part of a first team squad, with a good coach who plays a decent brand of football, and once fit will stand a vastly improved chance of being part of match squads. At this stage it’s probably more use to his development than more of the same thing he’s been doing for the last 10 years.

19 now, seeing the likes of players younger than him breaking into 1st teams Foden Hudson odoi maitland Niles sancho etc must be pretty soul destroying while not even making the Norwich squad. Really feels like we haven’t handled his progress as well as we could have.

Then maybe he needs to listen to what he's being told.

Not sure what people think this is doh for?

1. He is seeing guys he knows 2 years younger than him breaking into 1st teams?

Or

2. We’ve handled his progression poorly ?

1 is obvious to me. My argument for 2 is the way he was brought into 1st squad then seemingly dropped again after the injury. Where as TOB has been absorbed straight back in after injury. I guess folk are saying he was dropped because of his attitude. So his attitude was ok before the injury but worse after it ?

Maybe his attitude was suspect but Poch gave him the benefit of the doubt and Edwards didn't adapt. There are so many potential reasons that aren't Poch's or the club's fault. Surely you must accept that possibly the issue is on Edwards' side? As much as we all want to see him given a chance, I'm fairly sure Poch hasn't been keeping him out of the picture out of spite.

very concerning to hear the Norwich manager's remarks. he's been there for 10 days and he's already pissed Farke off.

It could either be because 1. He is still in his first week of the loan and Norwich manager already said he won't feature, so people may think you're jumping the gun a bit about not making the bench.

It could also likely be 2 as we/Poch could never handle an academy player's development poorly, it will always be the player's fault if they don't make it. We know the club/manager is doing everything within their powers to help him succeed and he is likely the player who has worked their ass off for 15 years to be a PL footballer has now decided to give up

Where are you reading that he pissed him off? The comments speak more like a coach coaching and still being supportive.

perhaps "pissed off" is a bit much but he is publicly questioning his attitude after less than 2 weeks. I dont see any way to view that as positive. that has to be a terrible thing for a player to read.

To me that comment by Farke has come from poch imo.

He’s been sent their to grow up and learn what it takes to succeed and farke is letting Edwards know.

With in the next few weeks Edwards will be in the team and everyone will be questioning why he’s not around ours

This. There's no way that Farke has immediately identified the same longstanding issues. He will obviously have spoken to Poch about the loan and the reasons behind it.

IMO only if he takes the comments from the manager on board and reacts to them properly.

I’m def in the corner that those are not detrimental comments. At some point you need to take the challenge and begin to make headway in your development.

I understand why it’s happened but still think football has become to PC. Imagine some of the great Mavericks of the 70s and 80s they’d never have got a look in with today’s academy attitudes. Like I said it’s all a lot more professional Which I kind of understand ,but in a way it’s kind of a shame. I guess that’s why you get a lot les characters in the game compared to 20/30 years ago. Almost like academies are churning out robots all media trained.
