Why sign wijnalum to block Edwards and josh.

So short sighted it is unbelievable.

It's a fine balance... Looking to the future by giving young players opportunities to develope, while also making sure that the first team has the the required experience and quality to compete at the expected level right now.

I think to a man, most fans feel that we need another AM, and I fully expect us to sign one, but that doesn't mean that we're being short sighted at all, I don't believe anyone can accuse Poch of being that.

Our management team see more of Edwards than any of us, and know exactly where he is in his development and how ready he is for the first team.

Any signings (GW for example, who we don't even know we're after for sure) will no doubt be made with one eye on us having to compete in both the league and CL.

Edwards is an exceptional prospect, and when his opportunity comes this season, will be blooded in the cups and certain league games, but we can't yet expect him to be our answer when we're competing with Europes top clubs.

IF then, his impact and speed of development is Alli esq, amazing... But a sensible balance between being strong enough now, while also planning for the future is the key.

Everyone would soon be moaning if we become a top 10 team, because all we do is blood youngsters from our academy without addressing the current needs of the team.

Agreed. Skill is one thing, mentality and hard work another. Let's see how he develops. Not saying he does not have these attributes, others will know. Post-Kyrgios (sp) caution!

Some people on here have said he has sharp turn of pace to go past players. I've never seen him as pacey, more an excellent dribbler. Is that right or has he suddenly turned into the road runner?

Now I hope the kid gets his head down and starts working hard to achieve the full potential he obviously possesses.

Could be a significant day in the short/medium term of our youth setup.

i'd say acceleration = 8 pace = 6.5, something like that. he's very quick off the mark and that coupled with his low centre of gravity and agility makes him very hard to stay with at least for the first 10m or so.

Fair enough. Just thought it was someone quoting twitter and getting presumptuous. If you're saying Breezer is ITK about these things then happy days :D

Nah, @Breezer is a dick :cautious: and I just like to argue :finger: :D

Seriously though, Breeze has respect of numerous posters on here, so it's safe to put a bit of faith in what he's said (y)

Would definitely make sense considering our sudden desire to put him in all our training pics/videos.

Happy days.
