Maybe worthwhile as an ego diminishing process? If he can’t even get on bench there must be a point where this becomes pointless. He could be playing in high quality UYL games.
I can't say I'm surprised Poch has said it will be harder than ever for the youth to break into the first team.Had a long convo with my source last night and I have to say I am worried for the youth progression to the first team. If we sign the players we are targeting in the Summer I just don't see how any of the current crop are going to push through in the next couple of years.
Remember when I say this I have always in the past defended the club and Poch on how the youth set up is integrated into the first team.

I'm fine with the philosophy of signing players rather than developing youngsters, as long as the signed players are good enough for our first team squad objectives. But we need to get the signings right: if we introduce a player to the first team squad who doesn't cut the mustard, that pill is a lot easier to swallow if it's a youth player you've brought through rather than a dud signing that you've paid money for.
First choice is that new first team squad players are up to scratch, and in that case I'm not too fussed where they come from, chequebook or academy. But if a player is going to fail with us (and some players will), I'd much rather the failures be a Bentaleb rather than a Stambouli. Youth team integration takes off some of the pressure financially; for a club with limited resources like us then when you spend money to sign a player you have to make sure you're getting it right.

Thing is, I'd still rather our failures be a Bentaleb than a Stambouli, because we made at least £12m from finding out Bentaleb wasn't up to it (not to mention his lower wage bill vs Stambouli), whereas at best we just about got our money back from the Stambouli signing. Like I say, not opposed to a chequebook approach, but for players who don't work out you're better off them being a youth team graduate rather than someone you've paid dollar to bring to the club.Bentaleb probably not the best example.

He wouldn’t be training with poch though.@TommyGee not sure what the Doh is for, couldn’t care less about the rating but wondered if you thought it’s good that Edwards isn’t getting playing time.
The reason I want him home is so that he can train at the best training ground in the UK with a manager who, hopefully, he will play for and also play for the youth teams
Why would we bring him back? What what?
Don’t know what you mean buddy?
