If he was playing tonight there would be no hole in the middle which Southampton exploited for most of the 1st half and the last 15 minutes

I want to see us try Skipp and Bentancur in the middle.

And PEH’s stats can go in the bin. I trust my eyes.

Skipp is becoming a better and better player the more he doesn't play :ROFLMAO:

We really do miss him in there - even though he still has lots to improve I feel more confident with him in the side.

Keeping this guy fit will be the difference for us in the top 4 race. We hold our own when he plays and we get completely bossed in midfield when he doesn’t

Although we haven't seen Hojbjerg and Bentancur in the middle, pretty sure that would have been more solid at the back in the last ten minutes on Wednesday.

His mobility and physicality were obviously missed v Southampton.
When AC was pressed to say when Skippy was due back, he said back to training in 7-10 days. He also spoke on how important he was for the team.
I think Skippy - Bentacur - PEH would be a good balance

He's not a coward, he's not afraid to receive the ball in difficult situations, he takes responsibility defensively. We need mentality over anything at the moment and in Skipp, Dier and Hojbjerg, we may get frustrated at times with the technical aspects but they hold the rest of the team to account.

This guy is such a key player for us. We just look so open without him

we need to go 3-5-2

He might only be 21 but he is a superb player with the potential to get much, much better.

He is already our best CM and when he doesn’t play our midfield is significantly worse and so open.

Hurry back Oliver, we need you.

Can't wait to get him back, especially since Conte seems obsessed with playing 2 in CM. At least Skipp has the mobility and tenacity to withstand a bit of pressure.

He has been the player of the season for us. No one has even come close, not even Kane.

We really need to invest more in our youth team coaching to get more players through. The current transfer market is not sustainable for most clubs.
