I bet he barely felt it at all at the time and afterwards a mild bit of pain, tbh.

This. t's amazing how differently injuries can look compared to how they feel. I collided with a goalkeeper a few years back, his studs ripped a hole in my upper arm you could have got a couple of golf balls in. I didn't notice until the ref pointed out I was leaving a trail of blood.

if I knew how to add GIFs then the David Brent one would be getting posted right now

As a DM no doubt, but I don't know if they always clarify that position. Fabinho would obviously be the competition but he's spent most of his time at CB recently.
Ndidi if he stays healthy. Maddison become twice the player when he plays because he doesn't have to do much defensively. Same for Barnes and everyone else really.

...highlights last night, the game was shown without an artificial crowd.

When Hojbjerg was injured, you could clearly hear one of their players shouting at Mike Dean, "THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM!"

You don't think of Danes as Vikings (look at Eriksen for example) but I suppose the original invaders were actually Danes and not Norwegians/Swedes.

This has aged incredibly well! Good foresight sir!

This one didn't age quite so well ?

He really is so meh though... If he starts for Southampton for the remainder of the season I encourage everyone singing his praises to watch him in game and see how bang average he is. I really think we’re grasping at straws thinking he's going to transform our midfield.

This is one of those classic pre-2016 “we’re skint and this is bargain” signings that will not improve us, then Levy will try to sell him for the same fee we paid for him and he'll ultimately become deadwood for us. Then we'll hear about how we can't sign a good DM because we need to offload PEH before we buy a new one.

He's overhyped from some Statbomb and Twitter statistician reports. Winks is as good as him and is one of our own. Skipp, if given a run of games, has shown glimpses of performing at a high level as well.

Who’s our next manager?

Not so long ago opposition players would have kicked the ball into touch so an injured opponent could get attention. How times change!

Bloody hell! Someone wasn’t watching too closely, he was a great player at Southampton, I didn’t know he’d turn out to be quite so good though. Bang average he is not ?

Yeah same, I liked him at Southampton but hadn't realised how good he was. Just hope he stays fit as every quality defensive midfielder we have had in recent years has ended up broken

Thomas Franc has tested positive for Covid- he was hugging PEH and Jose after the game on Tuesday!

FFS! I thought it was a bit naive at the time, let’s hope PEH returns a negative test this week
