Crazy if we bite on this. We don’t ‘need’ a CB, we have more than enough but they aren’t of the required standard or a good fit for the system. Maguire is neither the required standard or a fit for the system, so what would be the point. Adds to, or is at best completely neutral impact to our issues and solves one of Utds

Not quite . We need a cb they need a midfielder . Could be a late deal if it materialises. The preference is cash but if we don’t secure the cb we want could be a puzzle to watch
Would be a terrible move for him coming to us.

He needs to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond and 1st name on team sheet. He wouldn't be here.

Non starter imo.

People saying PEH offers us something off the bench, of course he does! But do you really think he'll be happy just coming on to play closer and playing 20 minutes every match?
He more than likely wouldn't be happy with that, but if we're going to move him on, it has to be for money and not for a swap deal with Harry Maguire! This deal wouldn't improve us and only add to the clutter we're already desperately trying to move

We have 2 CBs with 1 year left on their contract (Dier and Sanchez) and Tanganga who isn't of the required level.

Of those 3 Sanchez is the only one who looks upto it in this system and he's also the one we can get the most money for. And we've all seen how quickly Sanchez's form can drop off a cliff even if he was good in preseason.

We should defo be looking to move on some CBs in the next few days and sign a decent 3rd choice one.

...just not Maguire ffs.

More concerned at the PEH bit than Maguire. United have huge issues in CM and are a rival for top 4. Why bail them out of their mess with exactly what they need. No no no….!

Maguire is as unsuited to this system as Dier is.

If they want a swap I'd rather we give them a bit of money plus Holjberg and then take Sancho who would get back to his old self in our system with Ange I think

I dont think this one is true but hypothetically I’d sell to them(or anyone actually)They don’t have any legs in midfield as it is. They’d get overrun nearly every game with him and casimero

That still doesnt make buying Maguire good business.
I didn’t say it was pal.
If we end up with him, then I’m sure ange has given it the green light, therefore I’ll trust that decision.

All I was saying is he better than what we have outside of our two starters , but then I don’t really jump on internet memes

I have no issue with selling PEH to Utd for a fair cash figure (especially when they’re absolutely flush), but absolutely not on board if we’re trading him for their deadwood like Maguire. He will be just as much a ball and chain for us, as he is for them.

If it's a significant cash deal and we look seriously at Palhinha then perhaps but I don't particularly fancy a makeweight in a Maguire deal who I don't see as a viable fit at all.

For the record;
Sanchez > Maguire > Dier
What gain is there for the club? strengthen a rival for your fourth back while taking someone who is popular in the locker room, bleeds for the club for a guy marginally better at best while having shown fairly stupid judgement on vacation? It isn't worth the time to conclude the negotiations with all the other balls in the air.

Utd may have offered him but would be flabbergasted if he ended up at us. Would be utter incompetence by us if we bring in someone who is totally not suited to the system, on big wages while warming the bench. Don't believe it will happen and pretty sure Ange will say no.

Sancho the only one realistically worth taking in exchange

I’m not sure. He’s the classic case of player being paid too much leading to him not being fucked. I’d stay well clear and Man U can continue to pay him £290k a week.
