Think it's more Barca have moved on a few (fati and lenglet) which is allowing them to go for Felix which then allows atletico to finalise move for PEH

Agree I'd rather not watch him in a spurs shirt again. However, not spending the money would be an absolute joke. We need a striker that can reliably contribute goals and last more than 60 minutes without getting hooked.

I was happy to see PEH go. Good professional but doesn't have the requisite skills for Big Ange.
But that was purely with the understanding that we would bring in another CM that could step up in Bisssoumas absence as a press resistant CM with defensive abilities.
We won't be replacing him which means that I think he is needed as a squad option.
This should have been an easy situation for the club - a player with suitors for the whole window and a manager who knows exactly what he wants for a midfielder in his system.

Assuming we are hoping to get back into Europe this season, this is THE best time to allow players outside the first XI to leave without replacing them.
Were very used to midweek games and to needing an 18-deep rotation of impactful outfield players, whereas this season it'll be more like 14.
Unless we get a bad injury or two then we are fucked as usual
