I hope he plays well tomorrow and then gets another start against Palace, ensuring Bissouma is back for Chelsea.
There is zero chance he plays over Bissouma against Palace. I know where you're coming from but we can't rest/drop players based on fear. I'm already far more nervous than I should be tonight due to Bissouma being unavailable. If he wasn't banned, I would be full of confidence. I'm still reasonably confident, just nowhere near as much as I would be if Hojbjerg gets the nod, he's just not the type of player who breaks lines and looks to pass forward every time he gets the ball. You can train and train footballers to change their style of play, but Hojbjerg genuinely reverts to safer options and although he's done well when he's come on, it's been about game management for the most part.

Excellent tonight after a booking for his first foul of the night (thanks Taylor, awful officiating).

Thought we missed Bissoumas ball carrying ability but it was great to see PEH willing to move forward with the ball. Ran his legs off. Good option for Ange to have.

He's a good player, just can't do what Bissouma can do and that does effect how well we can play out from the back.

Yeah lesser blokes would've sulked but he's shown both professionalism and a calm head when needed. Good yesterday, some lovely passing.

decision has to be made this winter, if we want him to stay then a new contract is needed to be signed

I have been a big fan of Hojbjerg ever since Jose brought him in, to me he is one of the most consistent players we have seen in a Spurs shirt.

if he doesn't mind a role in the bench, i would love to have him for years to come. what he does is never glamorous, but he always does it well.

Did ok last night, but we definitely missed Biss. Still likely to go in January if we can get all our ducks in order, Richy also.

His professionalism and application can never be doubted, pretty much the model professional and dragged people by the scruff of the neck for a while, proper leader on the pitch. I'll be sad to see him go, he may not be suited to our style of football but he's certainly not a bad option for a bit of depth.

There would have to be some serious incoming movement for us to sell both PEH and Richy in January. You would be asking us to sell two players in our top 15 or so in a squad already lacking depth.
