Hmm, those agents quotes may not tell the whole story. He may be trying to force the clubs hand to sell at a lower fee so he can then pocket a larger signing on fee with another club. He knows that with 1 year left on his contract in the summer, he will be worth much less to us fee wise in 6 months anyway.

I’m probably reading what I want into this but with 4 days left of the window, if I was an agent I’d be putting the squeeze on any potential deals from about now. Seems a funny time to rule anything out too.

No all that glitters is gold during the final day of January.

Glad he's staying.

Yes he doesnt fit the system perfectly but can do a job, has tonnes of experience and has an exceptional attitude.

Ultimate pro who can definitely help us finish as high as we can.

Maybe. If Newcastle sell Bruno to PSG, or Chelsea sell Gallagher, I can see them coming in for Pierre.

The bar is extremely low for hojbjerg. Who felt confident when he received the ball on the edge of our box?

He did some stuff good but he's part of the reason we were glued to our penalty box. He stands in line with our defenders and doesn't effect the play around the box.

For balance when not under pressure he played some good passes and made some good blocks. We need to get rid though we're worse when he's on the pitch
Seems he’s staying. Hope you’re alright!

Didn’t start making mistakes until he was shagged out. If we’d had another 6 on the bench he would have been subbed too.

Thought he was very very good last night.
Big Dier vibes for me - can play really well for most of a match but then gift the opposition a decent chance or two at goal.

I understand the lack of rotation issue, but I still think he’s just not a fit for this system and whilst he was better against City he’s still a bad fit for our system.

Although I agree, he also saves a few like the goal saving flick at the end of the Burnley game to name just one.

Bit harsh.
As Tucker said, Hojbjerg only made mistakes after c70mins, when he was getting tired from the relentless City press. He practically carried the midfield vs City as Bentancur and Kulusevski had poor games (almost certainly due to fitness and conditioning, with Bentancur back from long injuries and Deki recovering from illness)

As many have said above - happy to see him stay. Great pro, who puts in the effort every time. Deserves respect. Of course, we are also likely to look to upgrade on him soon enough.

He also had a shocking moment against West Ham in December, so in recent weeks this isn't the first time.

If he was a good fit for Ange's style of football and had the odd error in him then that's one thing, but he causes us to play worse when he's in the starting line-up IMO.

I like the guy, he's a professional and he will do a job coming on at the 70th minute in games that we need to see out.

But that's very much the same thing I was saying about Dier.

I've got no issue with him staying as a late sub until the end of the season, but he really does hamper our style of play when he's on the pitch from the start, so I hope, barring injuries, he doesn't get an y regular starts for us for the rest of the season.

We often talk about guys like Gil not being right for the Prem, but I think it's more true for PEH than anyone. He's usually deployed slightly higher up the pitch for Denmark where he makes more telling contributions but his total inability to pass/turn when pressed means he can only really be used deeper to mask his shortcomings in this country. I'm OK with him staying but I think a move to somewhere like Italy would do wonders for him.

Did well for us yesterday

Bentacur and Madders with Skipp as 8 was surprisingly flat

PEH coming in at 6 changed the midfield dynamics

Agree he did well but still a few brain farts which nearly cost us.
Happy he's staying with us to end of season and then hopefully for all sides he moves on then.

Forest just banked a little from Mangala sale. Could Nuno go for Pierre as a loan with obligation if Forest stay up.
