Was'nt ITK that Dragon was preffered by Ange?
Exactly this. So all the influencers and attention seekers out there claiming we're not going for Toddy because of the price alone, need to get a grip.

If it were the other way round and Toddy was cheaper first target, and Dragon was the more expensive alternative/additional... they'd still be losing their shit.

Tottenham close to signing centre-back Drăgusin - sources

Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign Genoa centre-back Radu Drăgusin, sources have told ESPN.

The 21-year-old is keen on a move to north London and negotiations over a transfer fee are said to be progressing well.

A source in Italy has suggested an agreement could be reached in the region of £20-25 million, but that remains subject to change as conversations continue.

Spurs are looking to sign at least one central defender this month with head coach Ange Postecoglou hoping for quick business given Cristian Romero has joined Micky van de Ven on the sidelines and is not expected to play again until next month after suffering a hamstring injury.

Drăgusin is a Romania international with 18 Serie A appearances for Genoa this season, scoring in their final game of 2023 against Inter Milan on Dec. 29.

If we were quoted E60m by Nice then I'm sure he is! Though Todibo looks better on the ball (we have no idea if Dragusin is), Dragusin is 3 years younger + someone who can win headers will be very welcome after Bournemouth had loads of headed chances last game.

I do like that he seems to have the correct type of vision in not looking to play the obvious pass in that video, even when under pressure. Also, raking crossfield passes are always sexy af and a plus.

Looks like he enjoys leaving players on the deck also, which he'll want to be a bit careful of in this league!
This is so funny.

Long high ball forward? Ugly route 1 football.

Sideways passing? Boring as hell.

Long high sideways passing? Ohhh I love it baby.

Us football fans are a weird bunch

Going a little off topic, but if we are quoted silly money we should just walk away from deals. (Seems we have in this case)

Gary Neville was talking about this the other day, saying it's not who United signed but how much they paid for them, that was the problem.

60m for Tobido is incredibly steep, it would also make him our record signing. And even if we did get him at that price, he probably won't start when everyone's fit as well.

Dragusin at 20-25m seems much more reasonable. The difference could pay for a midfielder and Jota (example).

There is a big difference between just punting the ball long all game in hope of a player getting the ball, than a long pass from one side to the other that reaches the targeted player.

Sideway passing also isn't boring, if played quickly to create space for another player it can be very effective and creative! The sideways passing which we had been used too was not this, it was pass sideways, take a few touches, pass sideways/backwards slower than before, rince and repeat.

Things went as black and white as always made out, but his passing looks better than I thought it would be with some comments saying he isn't as good as others we were linked with! I do miss the old Tobys diagonal ball at times!

The more I read about this guy, the more I like him. Be great if he could challenge Romero for a starting spot, may help reduce Cuti's recklessness if he knows he might not get back in the team immediately.
