His agent seems annoying, if it’s agreed soon he’ll look silly now
Not sure what else he can say really, Can't exactly say "Can't talk, we're off viewing mansions in Hertfordshire"

Until everything is signed, he is a Genoa player. His comments just read as respectful to me: He's not interested in chasing money. He's happy at Genoa. He's not pushing for a move. He has been speaking to Spurs, but any deal has to be right for Genoa too.

Seems pretty professional to me

Maybe don’t say anything at all!
It's just an agent, doing agent things for his client and no different to any other.

It your agent keeps schtum at a time when you're looking for your big move, you've got a pretty bad agent.
He's just trying to do what's best for his client.

As a Romanian, I can say that his agent's behaviour is expected given the circus that our football has become in the past decade. This will be the most expensive Romanian player ever and will make his agent rich and get him new clients. Of course, he'll play hard - trying to get the best price is second nature for Romanians.

He needs a professional agent

Meh his agent is just setting the scene so that it looks like his client wasn't jumping at the chance to move. This is fairly standard stuff.

"If Genoa talk to someone and reach an agreement, we will listen to their proposal"

Romano's been saying for days that the player side is totally agreed so this just seems like a weird line for his agent to take.

That is for the fans of Genoa, he already knows his client is almost certainly leaving.

"Of course I couldn't possibly divulge anything about my client's mid-season, want-away, loyalty-forfeiting intentions.

Oh crap, I shouldn't have mentioned it was mid season.
Oh crap, I shouldn't have said he wants away.
Oh crap, and I certainly shouldn't have said, that it would forfeit loyalty incentives.
It's too stormy today."
