Today doesn’t feel like the day. Would be expecting a billion Romano “Here we go” tweets if it was

As usual, I don't even care how long it takes, as long as it ends up being the right player, if this is him. Micky took an age. But it was better to wait a couple of weeks for Mickey than get all excited and end up with a Tosin.

Don’t mind if it ends up with a Tosin if I’m honest.

What do you mean “the Fulham defender”?

In the summer window yes. In January mid season when we need them to hit the ground running right now because of our injuries, I’d say time is key, we’ve had months to single out a few CB’s we can go for early in the window so no excuses for it to run on a few more weeks tbh, days at most.

It was a sincere mistake, but instead of asking for clarification you assumed the worst. All the best to you.
I actually used more humour and sarcasm.. life's more fun that way. You take care!!

There's always excuses for it to run on, as we've seen a million times. Sadly. But for me I suppose I just don't mind too much this season.

The excuses for delays will always be there. We'll never get players in when it would be ideal to have them, and people always end up pissed off about it. But for me as long as we're signing the right players on the right deal, I'm just going to make a conscious effort to be patient as the long game is more important, I guess. If this guy turns out to be monster then I don't even care if we sign him 31st Jan and he misses the next 3-4 games. As long as we're sure he's the right man for the next 3-4 years.

Hmm....

777-Partners, who are pending approval to takeover Everton, are having a wave of administrative & financial issues with their other clubs.
To the surprise, Genoa have failed to properly process their personal income tax (IPREF) documents in timely schedule, despite sanctions caused from a similar violation last season. This is causing unnecessary background stress yet again for the newly promoted side.
There was a 2-3 day delay in the delivery of the relevant tax documentation. Genoa believe they are in ‘good faith’, claiming an administrative procedural error, but this is yet to be established.
In the event of a simple error or administrative problem, ‘good faith’ does not exclude the risk of penalisation for Genoa, as per Calcio Finanza. The Italian Code of Spurs Justice means this violation can indeed result in a 1-3 point deduction and of course a fine where necessary, as seen with last season’s case.

Ah, cue the incoming transfer embargo while they sort this out...

in seriousness, it's embarrassing that they can make this sort of mistake. Surely any halfway decent head of finance manager has deadline this stuff sorted the week before deadline day - especially if they screwed up last year?

But then, 777 just seem to run into these problems everywhere they go...

There are a few rumours circulating around them over the last few months including that:

1. They are an entirely fraudulent company and potential Ponzi scheme (apparently they have lawsuits in the U.S from investors who are trying to get them to share financial documents/transactions on their investments, to which 777 have refused to do.
2. They are laundering cartel drug money (which would explain why they may not want to share said financial documents)

All in all a lot of the questions around them seem to be where the source of their money originated. I remember reading a few weeks back that their takeover of Everton and subsequent approval from the PL was being held up by financial documents not being provided. I'll try and find the links.

Either way not a good look for them (and Everton, to whom they have lending money to).

Just pay 30m euros. 21 year old highly touted cb. It’s not a big fee at all
I’d normally agree but if we miss out on all the 18 year olds because of 5 mil how will survive.

signing players early only makes us more depressed when no new signings come at the end ahah

Is this the first "FFS, just pay the money Levy" of the window?
For all we know, we're willing to pay the money, it's just a case of negotiating payments terms and all the fine print that comes along with a big transfer.

We're 5 days into the window, all credible sources seem to suggest this will be done, so let's just relax a bit before we start using "JUST PAY THE MONEY". 👍
