Only the Newcastle game we looked comfortable in and that was with Romero. We’ve given up a lot of opportunities in games that on paper are more straightforward than Utd away.

We’ve needed another CB all season. Not sure why getting one in before the next game makes any difference tbh. Let’s say we get one, he starts and does terribly. What then? The hindsight brigade pipes up “Should’ve played Royal”

Based upon all the info so far, the only way this doesn't happen is if the player decides he wants to stay in Italy, or if there is some dodgy dealing between Genoa and Napoli. We understand that the player would prefer to join us, (although you can never know, because this agent will be telling every interested party the same thing) and whether or not we are negotiating on the final financial package and how this is structured (which of course we rightly are) the fact remains that we will be offering more financially than Napoli.
Very likely it gets done, IMO, and if it doesn't it won't be because we didn't just pay what was asked - even if we are haggling, ours will already be the most attractive financial offer. We can't offer the player a stay in Italy and we can't control what the Italian clubs agree between each other, or whether there is a player deal to be done with Napoli.

Can we just stop the nonsense made up narratives, I'm not sure why you're dying on this hill, we could play the "what if" Porro or Udogie get injured in the Utd game hindsight card.
The sooner this guy comes in, gets up to speed, even if that means sitting on the bench incase VdV cant play the whole game the better, it's good for the club and good for Ange.

Wrong thread, but no need to repost that in the right one.
I know I’m just frustrated. I just want the team to feel stable. And all the CB injuries never let me feel confident going into a game
