Romano was very quick to dismiss the Napoli interest in his latest podcast. He said it's always been Spurs fully in control, the aim being to complete the deal tomorrow.
For all the shit Romano gets about his 100x here we go’s and here we nearly go etc he’s pretty bloody reliable isn’t he, clearly has built up some serious sources over the years, fair play to him.

it's because the Here We Go is his brand. He will not risk getting it wrong ever unless it is pretty much nailed on done.

He did the "Here we go" for David Silva to Lazio before a very late u turn with him ending up at R. Sociadad.

Think that's the only one he's gone in on and got wrong

If we enter the Dragon, I'm not sure I'd be wanting to nail any colours to the mast on another CB in the summer if we ever want to put any trust in Phillips and Dorrington whatsoever unless they really are a mile off being able to be cover. We'd better have some bloody good looking loans lined up for them if we do.

Agreed. I don’t think we can be too harsh on those that have deputised either, who’ve actually grown into the roles, and provide cover in different positions

Tbf a good loan would probably do them a lot more good than a season as fourth-choice. Personally I’m pretty ok with Davies/Royal as fourth/fifth in line, but maybe one of them wants to move on in the summer for more playing time which is fair enough.

Genoa airport is a little provincial one with the runway on a strip between the marina and the sea, I looked on flightradar24 and there were no aeroplanes showing so it might not be hard catch any private jets in and out.
Seems you have too much time on your hands😂.

As ITK info on here the Napoli aspect was more Genoa trying to make us worry, hope to push up the price and you can't blame them just as we put out info we have 1-2 other CB targets. Just seems like a game to drag out all the pennies.
Which is exactly why people should not get worried at every link.

I remember when we were close to Sanchez and we then had one very loose link that Chelsea were interested too. It caused a bit of panic.

Romero too with Barcelona supposedly interested.

You need to try and read if its the selling club just applying pressure instead of panicking

He generally HWG when there is a verbal agreement. That's how he beats others to the punch and (almost always) the deal is official. Of course on occasions things change last second but it's very rare and it's the fairly low risk he's willing to take
