no i think its dragging a bit because we know he wants us so we are trying to negotiate the best deal possible. Levy doesnt care if he misses Utd if he cab save money. Hopefully Genoa accept though and we get him in time.

There's (roughly) a £2m difference between league positions, a new defender gives us a better chance at getting points at old Trafford, saving 2m on a transfer could end up costing us 1-2 places in the league. I get it if we're 5/10m apart, but if we're talking €2/3m, just pay it.

With Dier leaving for BM (hopefully for a small fee) & talk that Leeds want Rodon permanently, this could maybe provide up to half of Genoa's € requirement for Dragon? - good business I'd say?

We need to get away from that mentality. Get priority signings done as quickly as possible so that they can get to work. Delaying just to save a bit of money has been a bad weakness when we're supposed to be trying to compete. We are in desperate need of a CB right now.

He needs a few days training if he's to play against United. Finger out time. You often pay a bit extra for faster delivery. It's not being outrageously or unnecessarily fleeced if you need him in ASAP.
