I don't think it's disrespectful. There are 1st team squad players and backups.

Son, Kane, Kulu and Richarlison are our 1st choice attackers for 3 spots. Moura is 5th choice and will likely only start when players need a rest or have a big game coming up a few days later.

I dont think that is the case though but that is just my opinion. Lucas isnt 5th choice, he just offers something different than the others which is far more unpredictability therefore chaos in defences. I understand the point that he isnt as effective as the other three certainly (Richarlison has only just arrived so aI wont count him in just yet)

Its horses for courses but I take the point that he may not be starting many games in the league but he can certainly contribute either in game or starting (particularly in those Carabao/aFA Cup cup games). I also like his work rate.

I don't know if it's been mentioned in the thread already, but I highly recommend watching the All or Nothing series where they followed the Brazil national team which won the 2019 Copa. Richarlison featured quite heavily in it and it confirmed what many have said already. He's really popular with his teammates, a fighter and willing to take responsibility (took a PK in the final after coming on after Jesus was sent off and despite not being the designated PK taker). All in all, I'm even more excited to add him to our squad.

Son could probably operate from the right being so good with both feet, allowing Richi on the left.
We are very fortunate in that both Son and Richarlison are genuinely two footed and could quite happily switch around at will from left to right, which would presumable be pretty hard to defend against

Watched the All or Nothing Brazil last night. Observations (that may have been discussed before but not going to reread all 173 pages): I’m sure he’ll start plenty of matches but what really intrigued me is how in the Copa final after Jesus is sent off and Brazil is leading 2-1, the gaffer sent in Richarlison to close out the game with his ball winning, tempo control, and general shithousery (which I generally think of as a midfield sort of role). It totally worked and I can imagine late match substitutions for Sonny to do the same thing as Sonny isn’t a great defender in the best of times and he is usually gassed toward the end. And surely, Conte has noticed a drop off in Son when he is overworked. Richarlison can help preserve our aging Asian beauty with both rotation and truly effective subs late to see out late leads.

also interesting how easily Jesus was triggered by Peru and his inability to regain composure despite the efforts of his teammates and coaches.

edit: also, it’s not difficult to imagine several matches that head into the final 15’ with a narrow lead ending 3-1, 4-1. If you have a fresh and tenacious bastard like Richarlison coming in late, he’s gonna trigger a few counters when the opposition is pressing for a late equalizer. That will help GD as well as save a few points that otherwise may be dropped with a late score by the opposition.

Feels like we’ve been after Brazilian strikers for years.

Fabiano, Damiao, Hulk

Nice to have the current Brazil #9

So many upset Arsenal fans on Twitter around this signing, it’s beautiful.

Can’t wait for next season!
See dick head Cascarino is shit stirring in The Mail.
Said Jesus will score more than Richarlison next season.
Well he didn't manage that playing for Man City so what makes him think he'll score more at Arsenal?
And Richarlison was playing for a team that were almost relegated and has moved to a team in the top 4.
Yes, can see the logic there Tony.
Guy is a total dick.
