So Jamie Carragher moans about Richarlison “showboating” while justifying Brennan’s cynical scything of his legs. Richarlison spent a few seconds extra on the ball with some keepy-uppies before passing to a teammate - he wasn’t timewasting (the ball was in play), he was merely slowing the game down because we led the match and didn’t need to exert any particular haste.

If Forest players get wound up by it, that’s their own fault and it certainly doesn’t make reckless hacking acceptable. And I didn't notice any of our players feeling the need to go and hack Dean Henderson while he waved his hat around for 5mins after his Kane penalty save.
Carragher let his Liverpool roots show then with a few comments he made in that spell of play about the long-time former Everton player; someone especially a pundit/professional commentator/ex pro footballer should know that there's SWFA in the rules and laws of the game about "no show boating" there are rules however regarding the foul that happened on Richy, that's what he should be commenting on; that the Forest lads were losing discipline.

Man I am trying. I just really dislike him.

If he does more of what he did for the goal, which was brilliant, and less lying on the ground holding his balls, I could warm to him.

I think I accepted it with Lamela because his shithousery was quite sly, it always felt like the football came first. Whereas with richy it feels like the drama is centre stage.
Kane and Hojbjerg also made the most of tackles to eat away the clock so no different to Richarlison. It's just gamesmanship.

Shit, yeah.

Hendersen and his celebration was a bit much. Especially when you are still losing the game. The lad went ‘full Pogba’. Never go ‘full Pogba’ (see Pogba goal vs Switzerland at the Euros…. 4 or 5 different celebrations…. And then they lost…. Think he pissed off the football gods that day) ??

True slightly biased commentary but hey that’s the world we live in. Not everything is perfect.

Carragher has also previously been very complimentary to us on many occasions tbh : Poch, Levy, Romero, Kane, Son, Conte. I quite like him as a pundit but he’ll never loose that Liverpool bias.

Only one that wound me up was the “mo Salah you little danca” when he scored last min against us. That wasn’t cool.

Such an important and underrated signing.

Thrilled from day one....he hasn't let anyone or the fee bother him. What's superb professional attitude.

Savage signing!!

Yea he really deserves to now.

Sonny won’t be happy about it but hey angry sonny with a point to prove off the bench could be dangerous :) great options to have!
Although Son is the obvious one to make way, based on form and position, it could be Kulusevski instead - apparently he had a "physical problem all week".

I loved how confidently (and precisely) he assisted Kane with the outside of his foot - a demonstration of quality and composure (not cockiness).

I'd get frustrated with some of his antics if he was playing for anyone else, but it's going to continue to help us see out games late on. Others in our team do it - just slightly less blatantly.

Even if he was to be limited to these late cameo appearances for the entire season (he won't be), his contributions will be significant.

Based on form and position it would 100% be son making way!

But if Kulu has had an issue then yea might be him who makes way

Here's a thought for all of those saying we had over spent on Richarlison..... how many points would we have at the moment without having him to chuck on with Sonny misfiring at the moment?

Changed the game against Chelsea and really nipped this one in the tail at a crucial time. Love that he changes the landscape of our top 3 when he comes on. Very, very useful signing

Couldn't agree more, he's a pain in the ass, but he's our pain in the ass ?

Loved his appearances so far. Works so hard, is direct with his running, and the assist today was lovely. Really has changed the game each time he has come on.

Diving is a part of the modern game - am I a fan of it? No. But I’m sick of other teams getting the better of us. So I’m not too bothered about Ricky doing it. The other shithousery I love, it’s such an effective way to rile up the opposition and have them lose focus, waste time speaking to the ref. It really helps kill a game and could continue to be very useful.

Sorry if it’s been suggested already but I think he knew exactly what would happen when he did that, and they took the bait.

He was laying on the ground because he got kicked in the balls. That’s not shithousery, that’s anatomy. As for the keepy uppies, he wasn’t doing it for the drama of the moment, he was trying to wind them up…he knew someone would come for him and foul….that distracts them and wastes more time. It was brilliant and more importantly, to you i would think, perfectly legal. The ball was in play.

I love how committed to the squad he is. A 50 million pound man not moping about bring first on the team sheet but coming in and giving his absolute all while he’s on the pitch. I was an early poster saying keep him away. Idiot.

The shithousery part that of the kick in the balls was he went down about five seconds after it happened and when there was a stop in play. Every man who has taken a swift kick or football to the bollocks knows it's an instant KO, not act like nothing happens for a few seconds and then go down to waste some time.

But I'm not against what he did though, I found it funny.

Why the h*** should we apologize for Richarlison juggling a bit... I can mention many players in Premiership-history who would be able to do the same thing... we could start with players like Suarez, Aubameyang, Saint-Maximin, Jay-Jay Okocha, Payet, Drogba, Cantona and so on... I'm even certain that David Ginola has done it ?‍♂️ ... what's the big deal... ?? ... oh. He's from Tottenham now.
