Fluffed his interview tonight if we think he will be Kane's replacement, but it's difficult to judge in such a dysfunctional team.

Hopefully just a bad day but . . .

Reminds me of all the fans defending Soldado saying we don’t play to his strengths , what do people want us to do , he played int he middle tonight , got bullied all night , as usual spent more time on the floor than standing and hit the worst shot I’ve seen since Paulinho against Burnley . March and no goals but more is the worry that he’s not even in a position to miss the chances .

I am a big fan of Rich but I must say in summary he has been relatively poor this season. Then again I just think our tactics themselves are shit.

I was reasonably excited for him and thought he could come and do a job and potentially replace Son. I have to say, so far, I'm bitterly disappointed. He definitely needs more game time, but I can't see it happening. Son seems to play regardless, and when Richarlison has had an opportunity lately, he's looked awful. I can only hope that with a more attack-minded manager next year, we'll see some worth in him, otherwise, this could be yet another expensive flop.

This way of playing can make even a world class player like Kane look meh?
What an opportunity wasted, again.

Only defence I can give is he's clearly lacking confidence. He really needs that monkey off his back. If he scores his chance in the first half he probably looks totally different in body language. Even Son has suffered to be fair. Obviously thrives in a flamboyant Brazil team though.

So so poor tonight, his shot just about hitting the corner flag has summed up his season, more Miss than hit.

What’s even more frustrating about his corner flag shot tonight is if you watch again Porro is actually in aswell.

Still deserves time but I’m slowly losing patience.

Have to echo the questions around tactics. Son has massively dropped off, and even Kulusevski hasn’t done anything like last season. Kane is the only one getting goals in this team at the moment and it can’t just be everyone is shit.

Like most of our team. Awful 1st touch and very limited from a dribbling / passing quality standpoint. Does work hard

Trick comes off once every 10 times and caused us to massively overpay.

Like Son, he needs to have creative players all around him. Son and Richarlison should never be in the same team. Add Lucas into that, you've got 3 players who cannot complete even the most basic passes.

It’s not that he’s a bad player, I actually think he’s a good 9, but he’s yet another square peg in a round hole

Who the f*ck signs off on our incomings? Where’s the strategy? Too many poor purchases over an extended period of time.
Some recent ones have bucked the trend - thank God for the likes of Bentancur and Romero - but otherwise the amount we’ve wasted is scandalous.

Everyone made this guy out to be world class in the summer. Some of us couldn't even post in there saying all the things you are now. Funny how quickly you can turn.

What I will say is that this team isn't functional as a creative unit. The tactics are all wrong. Yeah we beat Chelsea but they were somehow worse than us.

I don't think anything gets resolved until either the tactics (which we know won't) or the manager changes.

I still have hope for him but he’s never gonna work if he doesn’t have other players who can give him service. That lineup today was never going to work.

He can have no complaints on being subbed after that 'shot' at the corner flag.
It would be easy to conclude on this season's performances that he has no goal threat at all, but he scored a few for everton and had big moments in the world cup.
He has it. We just have to wait.
