I think he’ll have a better season than last year, and I’m glad we’ve got him. Not sure if he’ll get more than 15 league goals though, based on his career to date. I’d back Son to be our top scorer next season.

I think Richy will do fine and really suit our new style of play, not just by scoring himself but by creating space for others.
It will be nice to not be reliant on just one player.
Bingo. his press will also cause opposing players to cough it up to him or others in the attacking third. Kane is irreplaceable as a player. His output isn't from a team perspective.

I actually have no worries that in Anges system Richy would score a lot of goals is he is our regular n.o9, what I do worry about is his fitness/injuries and his overall attitude, if he can keep them consistent I think he could be absolutely class for us 🤞

He has also played 9 seasons of professional football and never scored more than 13 goals. That is hugely concerning me. I just hope that if we do use him as our starting CF, that the system and playing him up through the middle will get the best out of him.

That's what worries me too. I think my main concern is that (and I'm sorry for the initial negativity) I've actually never greatly rated Richarlison, if I'm completely honest with myself. I remember the day when the reliable news of a supposed very large bid from us broke and I admittedly felt a bit pissed off and concerned about it initially. I grew to like the idea of his arrival as I saw the positives in having such a player being able to come in for if Kane was out and needed a rest, even for that price tag because it's something we had been wanting for so long. I've never seen much of a prolific player in Richarlison, but always a very hard worker.

In concern with goal tally, I guess you can say he's always/mostly played in fairly average Everton sides so maybe in a better side the capability to score more will increase.

I'm just hoping it doesn't leave us wanting in having him as our main striker though. It's all good and well thinking we'll create bucket loads and in Kane's absence other players will chip in, but we're still a bit of an unknown entity in that it's only two friendlies that we have as our sample size.

I am very excited by what may be under Ange, but I'm also very wary of getting carried away by the little we'e seen and thinking that losing a stable source of goals in Kane may be easy to overcome.

I think we will see a different player this season - more so when/if Kane goes and he is our main No. 9. I think he has a high work rate he will be the poacher we need and I actually think he’ll score 15-20 goals maybe more in this system.
Even at Everton he played games as a wide player when DCL was fit but through the middle in this system it'll Suit him, the fact we have Maddison makes this even more so, in the preseason games Kane often still dropped and got in the space that Maddison wanted to occupy, if by some miracle kane stays - I do think he’ll adapt but we won’t get the energy and press that we will get from richy

I think he also has that same kind of driven attitude where he'd really own the role and become a real presence within the team if he's given the starting job. I think from a combination of all the injury setbacks and only playing bit-part roles last season we really didn't get to see that side of Richarlison who was so impressive at Everton leading from the front.

I've also noticed the exact same attitude qualities from Maddison and Bissouma in the pre-season fixtures, which would give us a really good new spine to build Ange's system around.

I feel this is something which the squad has really been missing for awhile now. We've always had high quality focal points in the team through Kane, Eriksen, Lloris and others, but none have really stood out as expressive or on-field influential figures from a real leadership perspective.

Anyone thinking Richarlson is going to suddenly start banging in 20 goals a season is absolutely kidding themselves. He's a 1 goal in every 4 game player consistently in his career. I'd expect him to score 9-15 goals max. We're gonna have to make up Kane's missing goals somewhere else in the team.

Presumably that is the idea. We've been lucky to have Kane but we all know that we've been way too reliant on one outlet for scoring goals.

I haven't seen anyone say they expect Richarlison to score as many as Kane.

Saying he's a 1 in 4 goal player "consistently in his career" is just factually incorrect though.

He averaged 1 in 3 for Everton, where he spent 4 seasons. That's the main chunk of his career considering he's still only 26.

He also has a near 1 in 2 record for Brazil of 22 goals in 40 matches.

I don't think he is good/consistent enough to be a Top 4 starting striker (perhaps we don't see ourselves at that level at the moment). So it would be a disappointing downgrade for me if Richarlison is the Kane replacement.

His build up play is also lacking and his finishing ability is nowhere near Kane (though that goes for most players in the world!)

What he does have is a very high work rate and a desire to press and make a nusiance of himself. If Ange think he can do the role that he needs in the team then i'll get behind Richy and hope that he can kick on and improve from his Everton days with better players around him...
