In a sea [possible exaggeration] of players panicking and coughing up possession like toddlers, Bentancur is a true breath of fresh air.

Thanks for sharing mate.

Had no clue who he was when he turned up in January. I just assumed he was a cheap deadline day rushed signing. This interview shows the lad is a winner, phenomenal attitude and focus, high intelligence, classy and grounded. All the things he shows every time he enters the field. He has been magic from the day he arrived.

He had an immediate impact January onwards which isn’t easy coming from a foreign country; there was talk of painkilling injections over the last few weeks of the season which make his performances even more impressive.

The only downside to his game was sometimes taking a bit too long on the ball. He obviously had more time (generally) in Italy and was adapting.

But this season he’s moving the ball noticeably quicker and I can’t recall many occasions where he’s been dispossessed.

He’s gone up a level and looks a real quality player. He & Hojbjerg have both improved this season and are 2 of our best, most consistent performers.

Agreed, it’s going to be interesting to see how we balance things in a 3 5 2 next season if we move to that and who misses out for a creative mid. If we bring in a maddison, barella, sms type who won’t be see as the starter?
could you move Benta to 6? I think you could and keep hojberg and the new cm there.

Him and Hojbjerg have to be up there with some of the best midfield duos we’ve ever had, it’s time to really give them their flowers now.

When are people going to put respect on his name?
He’s sensation honestly, we haven’t had much better insane footballer

Who doesn't? The last 20-30 or so pages are full of praise for him. Only criticism I've seen is from opposition fans but that doesn't count.
