Love him but clearly rushed him back. He gif today which is understandable. Well of the pace and wasn’t really challenging. Needs time to trust his body

Thought he massively struggled to keep pace of the game. Hojbjerg coming on actually helped wrestle a bit more control back after being bossed by Bournemouth for much of the game.

Great to have him back but he'll understandably take a run of matches to get up to match fitness.

So good to see him back. He definitely looked rusty, but showed 2 or 3 signs of the Bentancur we love. Can't wait for him to get back up to speed.

I thought he played a little within himself and to be honest not surprised considering getting injured in the Villa game

He looked rusty as hell but it's fantastic to see him back on the pitch so soon. Hes an absolute baller when he gets going, cannot wait to see him integrated alongside Maddison and co when everyone's back.

What a huge surprise. Didn’t know he had even returned to training. Congratulations to Lolo for pulling a rabbit out the hat.

60 minutes into the Uruguayan prince. Love to see it. Couple more games and we'll have some great options in the middle of the park.

"Asked about Rodrigo’s return, Ange told our Review Show: “Rodrigo trained during the week. He’s a warrior. He wanted to play. I let him train with the team and there was nothing I saw that was going to prohibit him from contributing. We knew we wouldn’t get more than 55, 60 (minutes) out of him, but it’s a lift for the whole squad because he’s a quality player, and he’s also a quality person. The group has seen what he’s gone through, and he’s never let it get him down, he works hard every day. Apart from the result, that’s the most pleasing thing for us today, he gets 60 minutes and hopefully we’ll grow from there.”

Another solid 80 minutes for Rodrigo today. Looks to getting back to the pre-injury form and I'm sure he's honored to be the captain and will possibly remain captain until Maddison or Romero come back from injury.

Honestly the guy is a warrior doesn’t look anywhere near fit enough but he’s there trying to help us out, and still oozes class was times where you could see tonight that physically he just couldn’t get about yet as he would like
