Your second point is what makes him potentially world class. Pre-injury he was a cut above everyone except for Kane and Son. He was consistently our stand-out performer during some of our worst games in the Conte/Mourinho era.

Bentancur has goals in his game, and can work both on and off the ball. He can play-make and can defend. He performs when others don't.

From what Ange says he also seems to be a positive person who can lift others.
Just hope the injuries can become a thing of the past.

Re midfield trio: Bentancur and Mads are nailed on. Bentacur because he is our best CM and Mads because he is our best creator. The last spot is between Biss and Sarr. GLC hasn't played enough yet to be part of the equation.

To touch on his positivity :

At least twice yesterday, I saw him applaud his team mates when they made mistakes.

One was Werner's first shot which was high and wide....can't quite remember the second.

Really feel like he can be a leader of this team going forward

I think it will be Bissouma Bentancur and Maddison as first choice. Sooner Mali are out the better.

Yeah, Ange alluded to this in a presser after Rodrigo was injured in the Villa game, that he was looking forward to seeing Bissouma and Bentancur start and had "all the plans" tied to playing having them feature.

I don’t think there will be a set 3 in midfield to be honest. Ange will rotate the 4 of them (5 if Gallagher joins).

With all fit our intense pressing and style of play can be increased even more and last the full game at the same pace as we will have the ability to interchange players who are as good as those on the pitch.

It’s a lovely problem to have.

A very hard task to pick a favourite Spurs player these days with this squad. My son and I tried to come up with a top 3 and narrowed it down to a top 8 🤨.

But if really pushed, Lolo is top for me because of everything he brings to the team as whole. He’s the oil in the engine. He makes it purr. And yet on top of that brings many moments of greatness.

I agree, my favourite player, just oozes class and makes us tick. The way he keeps the ball is fantastic, he rarely cedes possession. I think it was the game against Burnley where he had three players surrounding him and he twisted and turned and still managed to win a freekick.

I’d probably start with Biss, Lolo, and Maddison. With the bench options of Sarr, LoCelso, and Skipp/Gallagher/NewCM (if Hojbjerg leaves). That’s a good set, and keeps people fresh.

Deal to June 2026 on 75 grand a week (pinch of salt with that number i never know how accurate these sites are) double his wages and get him signed until 2028. It would be one of the best investments we can make

OT (again) but I'm really not fussed about Gallagher at all.
