Definitely comes across as a spurs follower, if not a supporter. I like him since he joined f365 full time

He writes for 442 as well and wrote a really good one on Eriksen. I was surprised that he did 10 Predictions for the Premier League and didn't mention us so not sure if he really is Spurs

Yep, good read. I've said plenty about how highly i rate Sess on here so nice to see this article back that up. Bold statement but i have him as the new Bale (in ability and where he'll start, and eventually end up positionally).

I haven't seen a lot of Sessegnon but I wondered how his defensive qualities were

He's played there almost as much as further forward, and is diligent enough in his duties, and i'm sure he could learn plenty under Poch, but he's not going to be crunching into tackles like Rose (or Davies). However, he doesn't appear to lack positional intelligence, so if he gets that side of his game right at LB, there really shouldn't be that much of a need for crunching tackles !

He'll certainly track back with plenty of energy but obviously it's when he's got the ball and going the other way that is the massive plus.

Having said all that, like the article suggests, i think he's got so much talent that he could be moulded into anything by Poch, and for that reason LB would be a complete waste of his talents long term. Right side of front three, like Bale did, ultimately my idea of where he'd end up.

Really hope this gets wrapped up, I genuinely think this kid is imperative long term, and that the best way to get him is to get him now.

wasn't his medical supposed to have happened by now? seems to have gone troublingly quiet. Hopefully that is due to all the other talk of Dybala/Coutinho/LoCelso/Bruno

Dybala would be the biggest profile signing in Spurs history. Though I've said Sessegnon is one of the ones I'm most excited about, being "meh" about the prospect of Dybala in a Spurs shirt is fuckin' bananas.

I’d say Ossie and Ricky were higher profile signings or even Jurgen.

I wouldn't know, I'm too young. Having a brief look, we signed Ardiles from Huracan and Villa from Racing - not exactly the same as plucking one of Juve's stars and one of the most popular footballers in the world to me, football also has a much broader reach these days with Instagram and all that shite - I'd wager Dybala has more social media followers than the rest of our team put together.

Having said that, I was still residing in my dad's nuts at that point so fucked if I know.

Is anyone else getting a bit worried that despite every man and his dog suggesting this is definitely happening, we've heard absolutely nothing of it? I know there were some suggestions about holding back the announcement to appease fans in the event nothing else happened, but with all the talk of Dybala, Coutinho, Lo Celso and Fernandes, it's just as likely to have the total opposite effect.

Agree. I'm a little nervous, but still optimistic since we've only had positive ITK for the last few weeks (at least that I can recall). Sounds like it's been close for ages, but really wish we could've wrapped this up last week, if for no other reason than it opens up some bandwidth for other late deals. Every minute our team of transfer lawyers spends dealing with the minutiae of the Sess deal is less time spent hammering out the presumably complex GLC, BF, PD deals.

I’d consider them as having a higher profile because they joined us just after winning the WC with the Argentina NT.

The worldwide audience for the World Cup would have heightened their profiles.

I was in my early twenties back then and remember being excited about their signings.

I've been wondering whether there could be a scenario where we invest so heavily elsewhere, while keeping Rose, that we postpone the Sessegnon-transfer until January or next summer.
