I’ve got Soccer Saturday on, and Jeff Stelling was going through all the new signings and injuries for the Championship games, and when he said Ryan Sessegnon was ruled out with a hamstring injury, he did an “air quote” gesture. Something is going on.
Optimistically, I'm wondering whether he could be presented before the game or at half-time tomorrow.

Let’s not forget, as a 17yr old, he scored 16 goals in 52 games for Fulham in the championship. 17yrs old, let that sink in.
Less productive last year in the Premiership, granted, but in what was in reality a very poor team, that underwent real management upheaval.
He’s not going to walk in and be an instant, game changer, but in amongst better calibre players, with better coaching, how good could he get.

I personally am very excited to see Pochettino working together with Sessegnon. Hope this go through.

We'd instantly improve our options from the bench with Sessegnon. I can see a lot of scenarios where we are chasing a goal or having trouble to break down a packed defence and Sessegnon would be a perfect super sub.
I can see a lot of scenarios where he doesn’t necessarily set the World alight and gets slaughtered for it, it’s not like we don’t have form for that, just ask virtually the entire squad.

"Barnsley have run all over them in midfield!" Gary Rowett isn't impressed with Fulham's start to life back in the Championship..

Sounds like they're lacking a midfielder:cautious:

am happy with this.
always surprises me that teams like Fulham don't push for deals with multiple players going the other way.
In their shoes I'd have gone for Onomah, CCV, GKN and perhaps even Edwards. Probably could have got all 4 and 2-3 million on top. Or Onomah, CCV, GKN and Victor Janssen.

Any relation to Vincent Wanyama?

Like Bale he started out there and has moved further forwards each year. Maybe Poch will reconvert him (and teach him to defend), but I suspect we’re buying a wide
forward
.

I doubt we’re looking at signing Lukaku.

I really don’t. I reckon he might play there a bit to integrate him, but I suspect we’ll move him further back as soon as we think he’s ready

We’ll just have to wait and see. I personally think we’ll see much more of Davies at LB as we play with more conservative FBs.

Earlier this window there were whisperings that we were in for both Sess AND his brother, but it’s gone a bit quiet on Steven hasn’t it?

If this does indeed turn out to be true then its a wonderful signing and a great ADDITION to our squad.

Good work Levy.

Steven has made the 18 for Fulham quite a bit and I would have thought would make it today too. I found it interesting that he did not. Might be nothing to that but perhaps he is also in this deal and not available today while they finalize everything(including a loan back for him)
