Tottenham are set to include Josh Onomah in their deal to sign Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon for £30million
  • Tottenham have been chasing Ryan Sessegnon's signature all summer
  • Spurs are now set to include academy graduate Josh Onomah in the deal
  • Onomah was on-loan at Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship last season
  • 19-year-old Sessegnon came through the academy system at Fulham
Tottenham are set to include academy prospect Josh Onomah in their £30million swoop of Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon.

Barring an unexpected collapse, Sessegnon will complete his long-awaited switch to Spurs this week.

And Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to let Onomah leave for Craven Cottage to drag the deal over the line.

Cottagers boss Scott Parker has big interest in Onomah, 22, and Spurs are willing to use the midfielder as a makeweight in the deal.

Onomah has made 32 senior appearances for Spurs - but he is way down the pecking order under Pochettino and made just one senior appearance for the club last season.

Sessegnon has made it clear he want to leave Fulham for Spurs this summer and the talented youngster now looks set to get his wish ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.

It seems the noise in most of the tabloids is that this is expected to get across the line this week. Fingers firmly crossed, as I think he’ll be a superb addition.

Agree. I find it funny so many are down playing this signing. He’s one of the most talented youth prospects in world football.

I think this one is done due to that onomah photo. And the club will just set on the announcement until Thursday

I've really come around to love the idea of him and KWP getting minutes in cup games at fullback together and Sessegnon plugging in any minutes we are currently having to give to Nkoudou, and that we were forced to give to Janssen last year. We need to add more talent across the squad and Sessegnons ability to play in defense and attack will be very useful.

It’s almost like if this is announced before Thursday, it’s good news and it will be a sign that we will get more in. If it’s delayed and delayed until Thursday then nothing else will happen. That’s if this goes through itself of course.

Tottenham offer £30m plus Onomah in push to secure Sessegnon signing

Spurs have been fighting to sign the teenager all summer and hope the offer of a player within the deal will help get it over the line
Article continues below

Tottenham have made an offer of £30 million ($36.4m) plus midfielder Josh Onomah for Fulhamwideman Ryan Sessegnon.
Mauricio Pochettino regards the 19-year-old as one of his primary summer targets, and Goal can confirm the Champions League finalists are hopeful that their latest bid will be enough to secure Sessegnon's signing ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.
In turn, Sessengon is keen to make the move from west to north London as he bids to make his mark on the Premier League.
There has been slow progress in the summer-long talks, however, though Fulham's interest in Onomah could lead to a breakthrough.

That is basically £40m. Ridiculous amount for a 19 year old with less than a year on his contract but I suppose it will appease the “jUsT gEt iT dOnE lEvy” brigade for a couple hours.
