Personally think the loading of Sess is a great idea and I think he will be back in the first team in the next two years. I doubt you can force a receiving team to ensure the player plays in an a certain position but it would be great to see him get a proper run of games in the PL or Europe at LB or LWB

No way should we be giving people the option to buy here

Agreed.

He was always an investment for the future and we just need him to play and get some experience. It’s as simple as that. Including an option to buy him would make no sense.

Also as others have said, Reguillon could be back at Madrid by the summer.

A loan is needed here for sure. He needs regular first team football to progress and reach his potential.

Atm I’m unsure where he’d fit in. He doesn’t seem to have the aggression for a left back, nor the ability to beat his man for a winger. He’s still young, hopefully he can develop at another prem team for the season.

Reguilon's performance today was what I had hoped we would see from Sessegnon when we first signed him. There's still time for Ryan to improve and I do hope he gets a good loan where he can start at LB and regain some of that confidence and swagger similar to his breakout season in the championship.

Not convinced this would be a great move for him. This is a lower level than he's previously played at.

Celtic are playing wingbacks this season so I'm assuming that's where they plan to play him

Would be perfect if it meant we get a deal cut on Edouard.

Would be a large step down in terms of quality of opposition and pitches, he'd spend most of his time getting kicked in muddy fields. We'd be better sending him to a Championship side than to the SPL, even if it is Celtic.

He’ll come back full of confidence after tearing up the league and probably with 3 winners medals around his neck - think it’ll be a decent experience for him.

Hate saying it, but gooners left back came from Celtic and is a very decent player.

There are plenty players who've gone to Celtic, ripped it up and then struggled when they've had to step back up. Patrick Roberts, Gary Hooper, Scot Sinclair for example.

Roberts was unbelievable for Celtic. He then went to Girona and Middlesbrough and struggled badly.

He needs to play in the PL. Scottish league is just way too low quality opposition, and Celtic is already knocked out of the CL.

I don't mind this move actually. Sess has not played with confidence since joining. Maybe this is down to injuries or pressure I'm not sure. But letting him go to a league where he can build his confidence is not a bad thing.

Would prefer a move to Brighton due to the coaching Potter is doing. But would not be overly disappointed with a move to celtic.

Depends on what options are available. PL is obviously first choice, ideally in a team that plays progressive football with wing backs.

However I'd argue a first team role at Celtic would be better for his development physically and mentally than a mid table championship club like Birmingham, QPR or Cardiff. The SPL isnt amazing quality wise, but in terms of club stature within their context Celtic is huge and it would help to build on his mentality of playing for a top tier side. They have an expectation to win in every game with attacking football, play huge pressure derby matches and will massively compete for silverware. Plus they should be in the EL group stages so furthers his experience of playing at that level. Certainly better than him sitting on our bench for another year picking up scraps.
