I may be the bad guy here - but winning here is important for Son, and since I support Son, I want SK to win.

I don't recall anyone here rooting for England to lose this summer, so that the players got back sooner.

Maybe the non-English members were ;)

Not me btw, although since NIs cruel playoff exit I’ve developed an OTT dislike of Lichsteiner which only got worse once he signed for Arsenal!

Come on, unless you're South Korean there's far more incentive for a spurs fan to see them go out, it's very easy to understand.
Its really not.

Its the difference in Son being available for essentially 2 league matches. Is that enough to root against Son now?

I understand the sentiment - I just choose to back Son in this situation and I think that benefits Spurs in the long-run.

I can understand where you're coming from but how you can't see the reverse is strange to me, for those of us with no ties to Korea we don't get much from seeing them succeed other than our player doing well and It's preferable to me at least that he is available for us more so.

Edit:Sorry, I completely ignored when you said I understand the sentiment, that's my bad, we just have a different view on it.

That's assuming SK win the thing from here. Son could be the difference in us beating Newcastle and Watford.

It's not hard to imagine a situation where 3-6 points could be the difference between CL football in the new stadium or not.

I love Sonny and want him to do well but that is a loose argument. Lifting the World Cup hasn't particularly taken Hugo up a level this season.

Edit: I admire your sentiment however.

I see it - I understand it even. Its just that I see value in backing the player because I think its that bond with the player and the supporters that makes this team special.

I want Son to succeed precisely because I support Spurs - and that means I support those players, and want what is best from them, because, in turn, I think they will produce the most for us.

That's fair, I made an edit because I'm a bellend, I think your sentiment is the better attitude it's just that the current situation is dire and I'm desperate given the fragile position we seem to be in.

Hey, look on the bright side, at least he played extra time and got the added exhaustion in his body and mind.

I don't recall most of us here being South Korean nor that Spurs were in the middle of their Season. I was rooting for every other spurs based team to be knocked out other than my own country.

I'm sure having players go out early in anything they take part in will work wonders for the lack of winner mentality that our club struggle with.
