What was the point of taking Son if you’re going to use him in the worst way possible

He was playing in a free roll but didn’t affect the play

I’d rather a slightly knackered Sonny on the bench over Llorente on Sunday. Use him only if needed against Palace.

I suspect the plan was to try and get him on the ball as much as possible because the rest of the team is so rancid. If they had him wide or up top he'd be starved of the ball. That would be the theory.

I know but this made it a lot worse, he was 0 threat

If he played on the left he could cut in and take a shot or take on his defender and cross it
Or if he played as a striker he would always be inside the penalty area and he could have a few shots
