I love Son. He's a great player. However, he is in my opinion has a much more limited skill set then say Bale or Kane (but that is elite company to be compared with)
He is a speed merchant, who works hard and is a really good finisher and real professional.
Tight spaces, back to goal, playing in front of defences, he struggles.

The thing with Son and it really shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody that’s watched him over the years, he is extremely good at a few things on the pitch and really quite awful at many others.

His ability to retain possession is rancid, and costs us time and again when trying to build attacks. He is however an exquisite finisher, one of the best in the world.

He’s also direct, and can assist Kane with some decent crosses.

What I feel it means is we need a third attacker to come in (where Moura usually plays) but this player must have the ability to retain possession to counteract Son’s weaknesses. Otherwise it will only be Kane who can hold the ball up which really isn’t good for the team.

My fave player but he's always been streaky. He doesn't have the touch of a Salah for example, as the ball can bounce off him at times.

Great dribbler and finisher both long and close, great movement. Other stuff not so good but the stuff he's good at is world class.

We need competition for places and that includes players like Son.

Gives it all 99% of the time, scores goals committed to the team and only wants to win what else can we ask for

To be honest all the things your saying explain why we looked better in 352 because he doesn't need to do those things he can basically just play like Jaime Vardy and constantly run in behind..

If that’s Son playing poorly give me more of it, scored a goal from pure effort, laid one on the plate for Dele and great run Kane should have put on plate for him.
Yep, he's so dangerous offensively and his passing/creativity has really improved in the past 2 years or so. I was really impressed he found Dele on that run.

We need a Bernardo silva/coutinho type playmaker who can spot the final ball but also dribble in close quarters. Not another direct winger.

An Eriksen in behind Son and Kane with the system Inter played him in would be perfect

Agree with this point. I believe this is what Bergwijn was expected to bring to the team when we signed him.

Just watched the Sonsational documentary on Amazon. I'd heard his dad was a task master but damn! I do worry that he might not even have got laid. He takes dedication to his craft to the next level. Thoroughly nice human being though and great ambassador for his country and our club. Worth a watch for anyone that hasn't seen it.
