Yep, makes sense, haven't studied January fixtures in detail, but from memory don't think there's any obvious break
Its certainly much better Son is with us, not traveling to Korea or wherever
The break is between the weekend of the 23rd jan and midweek 2nd week of Feb (6th or 7th or so) think there's concacaf matches as the only internationals

Right, but S Koreas games aren't in that break time frame?
Nope. They aren't during an official international break which is why they aren't calling him up. We are playing Chelsea and arsenal on the days (give or take) S. Korea are playing

Great, thanks very much for the info. Saves me looking it all up.

Love this.

I love how the smallest gestures can mean the absolute world to kids.

I remember when my old man took me to the original Wembley to watch England in the late 90's, I was about 8 or 9 years old and got a high-five from Darren Anderton. I'll remember it for the rest of my life.

And broke Shaggy's arm in the process!

Love this.

My nephew would be over the moon if he waved at him. He’s 6 and just starting to get into football.. he asked me a year or so ago what some of the Tottenham players songs are when he asked why people were singing at a game we were watching on tv and he still remembers the Son one. Though he’s now made his own alterations… he now sings
“Nice one Sonny, nice one poo, nice one Sonny, I love you”… he says he had to put that word in so it rhymes ?

All I got was Tim Sherwood's autograph.

Ugh. Stealth sponsored content for Cinch. Hate this kind of stuff.

There's nothing stealthy about it, there are literally two club sponsors in the ad.

Also what's wrong with it? These companies are paying spurs millions of pounds so we can invest in the squad and infrastructure.

Free kick aside he was awful in possession... Dare I say again.

Son is my favourite player for many reasons but this is exactly why we need proper competition for places.

He could do with some bench time as it's probably just fatigue or maybe confidence as he isn't really attacking players with the ball at his feet.

Great free kick though

We all know Son is an amazing player and has been one of our most important for a while now, but he really is a specialist counter-attacker. Whenever the games get tight and the opponent sits back he's more or less neutralized.

He was poor again today and has been for a while, his scoring record aside as previously mentioned. Was I the only one who felt that while his touch was poor, it was especially his lack of off-the-ball movement that stood out today?

I don’t think the formation gets the best out of him. He’s best cutting in from wide but here he’s meant to be played slightly more inside and it doesn’t play to his strengths.

Amen, was just about to post the same.

3-4-3 doesn't suit him at all. Often he has his back against the goal, is much more on the ball and has to pick out passes along with operating in tight spaces. All weaknesses of Son.

He needs way more space to run as he is clumsy with the ball

I think it was the Brentford game where I first noticed it. He just doesn’t look comfortable playing there.

352 suits him and us better. Sounds a ridiculous thing to say as he is unbeaten but Conte needs to switch to it. I think it suits our attack a lot more.
