I just want the best for the team, as such, I suggested resting Son right after the Asian games. He's played a insane amount of football and then throw in the travel associated and you have high amount of cumulative fatigue. Apparently, he's still set to play for SK during the international break :(
Spurs made a deal that Son will not be called up for the November break - but he will also be away for a time in January for the Asia Cup. Best Spurs could do there was have SK not call him up early for pre-tournament training.

Great news! Hope he can get some time off to rest up.

Son has looked totally spent since he came back and he’s only playing because of our injury situation. Even at 50% he’s a better option than Sissoko or Llorente starting. But he needs a rest for sure.

When was the last time Son scored a goal for us?
Scored the only goal in our win against Newcastle second to last game of the season. I mean anyone who didn't forsee him having a rough patch early in the season I just don't understand. His schedule has been insane. The injuries to Dele & Eriksen have forced us to play him as he's of course still a better option than Sissoko. If he gets a bit of rest he'll be fine.

Ah you're right it was an assist, saw it wrong on Transfer Market. Last goal was 2 against Bournemouth on March 11. Since then I count 5 league starts without a goal or assist (had 2 assists towards the end of the season). Not that huge a gap when you look at it that way.

He should be on the bench at the minute when Eriksen comes back. Let him play himself into form with some impact appearances.

Korea won 2-1. He missed a pen but thankfully someone followed up to tap in. Seen how emotional he gets so glad he didn’t have to carry a penalty miss.

The guy needs a rest. So much rest on his shoulders for his nation. With the World Cup and then the pressure of winning the Asian Games with the prize of exemption from military service there is no surprise that he looks in need of a real break.

As a club we have suffered from having Harry lead England in the WC; of Eriksen carry Denmark and of course Hugo lead his team to win the WC. Carrying the expectations of nations on top of a tough league with little or no recovery time has I believe taken it;'s toll on our team

19 appearances without scoring now I think. Or maybe 20. I wouldn't mind if he didn't keep shooting from ridiculous positions when his team mates are completely unmarked.

For ages he's looked like he could do with about three months rest and then come back reinvigorated. However club and country seem determined to run him into the ground, and have him play 200 matches a year.

Thats just his play style, frustrating but we benefit from it more often than not. Think he's also been worked into the ground like @mpickard2087 said above. The fact Korea still calls him up right now for International games after 2 back to back tourneys this summer is ridiculous.

I thought he was really good second half, he links beautifully with Eriksen... And that turn he did was sublime.

I mean he's scored 21 & 18 in the last two seasons. Don't think Son is the problem here.

He constantly created dangerous situations today. Sure he had a few mistakes but I'm not going to fault a guy who takes 5 or 6 shots in a game, constantly beat his man, was a part of the build up for Kanes goal and started the attack that put Lamela on goal to finish them for a third goal.

Someone needs to remind him he’s not playing with South Korea anymore. There are better players around him he can pass too and doesn’t need to go for glory all the time.

A lot of our forwards go for glory rather than pass. I don't agree with it - look at City - got a good balance of unselfishness and eyes for the target. Their players seem to be more clinical than ours, but I wish we looked to play each other in a bit more.
