I've just figured out who Son reminds me of:
Was really hopeful for Son when we signed him but he seems to be struggling. He needs to develop some assertiveness, the amount of times I feel he's not gone for a loose ball or been indecisive when in a good position, losing possession as a result, is infuriating. He works hard and there's definitely ability there but he's a long way from being what we need.
He'd absolutely do my head in if I had to work with him every day.
That can be actually quite true. He lost some of his explosiveness he had before the injury. I just remember the first Crystal Place game in which he beat 2 defenders to the ball with sheer pace and almost had a break away. You don't see that anymore from him since he came back from the injury. Plantar fasciitis can be indeed nasty. Perhaps he came back too soon before the injury fully healed.I think it's important to remember that he had a pretty serious injury earlier in the season and plantar fasciitis isn't something that just goes away; there's every chance that he could still be managing the condition. He was pretty good before his injury so I'm looking forward to what he can do next season after a period of rest to allow his foot to properly heal.
Like trippier? He's not exactly impressed bar one gameI don't think that Premiership experience can be over valued.
My preference if given a choice
would always be for someone Premiership ready.
There will be exceptions both ways of course
but Lamela and Son and the Magnificent Seven tend to prove the point.
The success of our own grown players is partly cultural too
of both familiarity with the club and the English game.
Success elsewhere does not always translate at first.

1.400 words about military service.Informative article on Son and his obligatory military service. Worth noting that as he will be part of the Korean Olympic team this could seriously hamper his pre season with the club. The last thing he needs, but unfortunately it is a necessity for him. Worth keeping in mind when thinking about the beging of next season and fans expectations of his performances.

Completely agree. He took his last two goals really well and being pretty much two footed gives him something extra up top. He's also a huge team player, something essential to what's being built at our club at the moment. I think he'll be decent next year and will wade in with more goals.Hes done well and scored some goals. Sure he will be even better next year. Hes only young also, and look how long it took Lamela to settle.
Not worried at all.
