I have just read this. No originator NOT ITK, can anyone shine a light on it.
'At the start of the world cup, the South Koreans announced that ANYONE that represents their country in ANY sporting event on a large scale, such as the world cup, the Olympics, PGA, Tennis etc will NOT need to take part in national service '
Where did you read it?
Should have been more specific...........On facebook! I know!!!!!!
I assume we have had some confirmation re: military service then? Apologies if already mentioned
"I am really thankful to Tottenham because they gave me this new contract. It didn’t take too many things to sign this new contract because they make my dream come true. I played in Germany and they made me an offer to join the Premier League. So I am very happy. There is nothing more to say other than for me Tottenham is my home."
The Asian Cup wouldn’t grant him exemption. Has to be a tournament that any athlete of any discipline could compete in ie. a medal at the Olympics or a gold at the Asian Games. Laws were changed after other athletes complained it was too easy for footballers to be granted exemption.Just heard Bayer Leverkusen refused to let Son go on international duties with South Korea when he was there. Of course South Korea won gold without Son.
Two chances left. Asian games now in August and Asian Cup in January.
that guy pulled off some crazy saves during the WC.Great chance for sonny. South Korea has Sonny and their keeper in the World Cup. And Hwang Hee-chan from RB as well (he is under 23)
What a weight off everyone's shoulders it would be if they won it. We'd suddenly have an £80m+ asset on a long contract who absolutely adores the club and its fanbase.
Fingers crossed.
Love Son but no way is he worth 80m+, even in this market. Those are the sorts of figures bandied around for the Martials, the Zahas, who in my opinion are a step up in quality. For me Son is more in the 45-60m bracket, max. Gets tons of goals but needs to up his consistency to be considered in that upper bracket of wingers.
