In fairness he did, against Leicester. And look what happened, he got a reaction.
Trouble is since then Richarlison & Kulusevski haven’t been fit at the same time. If they had, I’m sure he’d have been benched again.

There was a point in the first half when he dropped deep to take the ball off a defender but his touch when he received it was so bad it went about 15 yards away almost played Arsenal in on goal. He's counter-productive this season.

That’s happened a lot this season. Son’s strength is generally running onto a ball from a counter-attack. He’s never been great at getting involved in build-up play.
No idea why his role has changed this season but if I were Conte I’d have changed it back about 5 months ago.

I love the guy. I absolutely love him. However, he is non-existent right now and we have Richarlison back. A deflected goal against Palace doesn't change the fact that he is a complete liability to our attacking play on current form.

My concern is how every single aspect of his game is awful at the moment. His first touch and passing is shocking, he can't dribble without losing the ball, and he's scored in 2 PL games this season. Fuck me.

But he's also a big part of why we're playing so badly. He can't trap a ball, his decision making is off too. Kane's racking up decent numbers in this system. The system stands no chance when so many individuals are offering nothing. I'm not for or against the idea of selling him but when you've been poor for half a season and are over 30 I don't think it's crazy to suggest it if we get good money.

The issue with son has always been that he can produce games where he can't get a hold of the ball, thus offering nothing to the game.

But then his excellence at running at defenders, playing off the shoulder and his finishing ability meant he was more than worth the odd dodgy performance.

Unfortunately, he's not even giving us that at the moment. Which is just highlighting the poor part of the rest of his game.

Last summer we got Richy in as the support, now is the time to see if he can offer us something different.

think deles decline was a lot more slower, his peak was 16/17 season, it was a gradual 5 season decline after that, with the occasional moment of magic to give fans a false sense that he was still useful

We need at least two new wing forwards and it's sad to say but we need a successor.

Sadly a passenger at the moment and has been for a while now. Setting up with an out numbered midfield while Son is contributing bugger in a front three just makes no sense and leaves us unbalanced. He’s badly out of form and needs time on the bench.
