That would make FAR too much sense. They could even do it every year. Have set months/ 6 weeks for international fixtures instead of the stop start nature of the current international schedule.
They're not aligning it with the African/Asian tournaments yet (partially because UEFA and probably FIFA would still prefer they were in summer and would rather pressure for that to hapen). But they are replacing the stop-start nonsense with the three different Autumn international breaks with one, longer gap. We actually have Arsene Wenger to thank for that one

That’s good news, feasibly afcon and the Asia cup could be held in the autumn to coincide with that I suppose.

I think the only reason why it's drawn out over the year is to allow players that might not make it to the national team to get a chance, for instance, let's just say England has wrapped up qualification early to the national team and there are 3/4 games left, players like Toney who would never get to start over Kane gets a chance to play a match or two for the country. If all the matches were in a row and you had one set squad that couldn't be changed, then Toney would never get a chance to play or be selected.

That's the only logical reason of it going all year round/ It's 100% for money purposes.

What FIFA/UEFA should do is schedule a group of international qualifiers during the same period. Play 4-5 games whist the AFCon and Asia cup are being played rather than have them spread out over the season. So all the top leagues can take a longer pause.
It's just impossible due to weather in a lot of european countries though.

Just heard Simon Jordon intimate Son may be injured. Did I miss something?
I think Jordan may have missed something. He looked injured v West Ham, and then Ashley Philips' fantasy football thing caused confusion. Thing is with Son is he will pick up a knock but play on and start the next game. Until the club put something out there I'd take any injury news with a pinch of salt.

I guess I'll say it then. His pressing which eventually led to the second goal was mustard.

Technically he's really improved his pressing. Probably a function of the whole team being higher up and so he's not being isolated while doing it, but still - one of those 1% improvements that results in the odd goal.

Can’t be arsed to look it up, but does anyone know when he’s going away with South Korea?

Sonny the best pressing forward in the top 5 leagues according to the below.

Only have to look at Kulu’s goal to see the benefits to the team.
