As much as I feel we could grow to regret letting him go at this point, the more time passes the less bothered I am.

I think he had every opportunity to break into the team toward the tail end of the season and for whatever reason, he never did.

Also, if he really is being made available for transfer and clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, PSG aren't sniffing round... you have you wonder why.

If he wants out and we can recoup what we spent to strengthen potentially two positions... so be it

what we've seen so far hasnt been great but we'd be mad to sell him after one season

This is not about him not getting adjusted to PL
He had a preseason with us - scored on debut
Problem is not adjustment to PL - its application and willingness to work hard when we dont have the ball
His mid game "jogs" are a joke when we dont have the ball

Unless he is available on free transfer Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, PSG wont touch him.
Thats why I like this Inter link. Inter could work for him being in a Italian league - but then not sure why Conte is after him, a coach who demands absolute fitness

I recall he was caught on camera v Wolves jogging back and not really tracking a player. Jose defended him in the press conference and said the Wolves player was really fast. Then the next game was Burnley I think? Where he preceded to do even less. I think that was the moment Jose gave up on him and fair enough. No manager should be willing to put his job on the line for a player that can’t be bothered to try hard.

Wanting Umtiti and Semedo.

You guys don't watch La Liga, right ?

Barcelona are at shambles...
I know umtiti makes lamela’s injury history look like nothing, and I know semedo hasn’t lived up to his potential, and tbh I don’t want umtiti. However, semedo is better than aarons, better than castagne, and better than serge. I also didn’t advocate selling tanguy. I desperately want him to stay. What I’m saying is Barca have better and more desirable players and have reportedly offered us a better package than anything inter are willing to give us.

I’m still against the sale but if Ndombele is not engaged and wants out and Jose to move him on Levy should make it happen. No matter how talented Tanguy is there’s no point keeping him if he’s not 100% at it, otherwise he will just rot on the bench for us. Brozovic is an excellent midfielder and I’m sure Jose would love to bring in Skriniar so it could be worse I guess. That said I don’t think it will happen.

I was far keener on Tanguy's links to Bayern and Barca. Some real interesting possibilities there in terms of potential swaps & loans. By contrast Inter have little to titilate. Skriniar may be great but a first choice CB is not the priority. I shall be thoroughly unimpressed if we take Brozovich and/or Perisic in return, but knowing Jose I fear he might be keen on that. Levy really ought to insist on getting back what was spent last summer (or a at least a pricey loan with a buyout for that amount in 12 months). Otherwise tell them to bug off

Like the majority, I want Ndombélé to stay, but also recognize the possibility that Mourinho does not rate the guy at all. As for the palyers we could get from Barca or Inter, i think Brozovic(so underrated) is by far the best player we could get. Much better than Semedo, would be a great partner for the rumored PEH and would free Lo Celso, because Brozovic is great building up play. Ndombélé is such a talent and i want him to stay, but if he stays to sit on the bench every game, we are better making a deal with Inter in my opinion. Brozovic plus cash would be ok business, since i am not the manager of this team.

Club should have Son talking to Tanguy about how he struggled in his first season and how he wanted out... and how happy he is now to have stayed.

If the rumors are true about Ndombele’s wages, I’m shocked his agent is trying to rush him out the door.. he won’t be making that at his next club.

Brozovic is a good CM - clear upgrade on what we have. You dont get to World cup finals with a bad/avg CM. He played in every big game of Croatia and put in performance. Skriniar or Brozovic - both works for me

People turning up their nose at Brozovic. We all agree winks and sissoko arent good enough. So we arguably need two in there. Brozovic on some quick scanning has the highest average distance covered with 12.4km per game. He also has the highes number of completed passess for last 2 seasons combined at 3684 in the whole of seria A. A pairing of him and Hojbjerg would make us very solid with both of them capable of playing a pass and both work hard. Would also give us more options. Dont want to be in a position where if PEH has a knock our midfield goes to pot.

Son was never badly out of shape. Or failing to apply himself. And was showing signs toward the end of the season that he was acclimatising. Tanguy has had moments just because of the sheer quality he has. But he’s miles off it in terms of application. That’s what the worry is. There’s no real signs that he’s gonna get it together and be the world beater that he can be next season. We can’t afford to have him put in a similar season next year.

This is a weird situation, but there are some facts that make me feel we’ll be ok at the end of this saga. One, the fact it seems is that tanguy’s camp want a move now, however, we have no idea how the player feels. Two, Levy will not be made to look a fool in any deal. So there are a couple of options. First is tanguy stays, which is what me and the majority of the fan base wants, because there is a world class player in there if we cater to his strengths, strengths that are truly elite. Second, if we sell him, it will be for at least the full 60 odd mil that we paid for him, or it will be a swap that we cannot refuse. The worst case is that he stays and is unhappy, and therefore doesn’t put in the effort required to make it at the club. I am positive that if he is sold, it will be for either a huge sum or a outlet of top class players. I just think that if he stays, we can offer him a role which hides his flaws and emphasizes his strengths with the addition of Hojbjerg. That is the ideal end. A happy, motivated, young, world class midfielder with the platform to show why he cost so much to begin with, which I truly believe he is worth.

He should never have signed Pogba in the first place, he's poison. If Ndombele is acting like a lazy prick then Mourinho needs to get him out asap. What's the point of having someone who appears to be a good footballer but can't be arsed. Look at Ozil. You can't keep these players if you get a chance to sell them.
Pogba is poisonous enough to have won more titles as a starting CM than our entire squad combined. Including being instrumental in winning a World Cup.

That ain’t poison mate

Any youth players we can take from them? That’s what I’d want (in addition to some serious moola). I really can’t stand watching Serie A anymore so I have no idea what they would have to offer.
