I spent a few minutes looking at Inter news and their rumored summer plans are all over the place. Linked to everyone and Conte wants to sell half the team, including some pretty reasonable players (Skirniar, Brozovic, Godin, Eriksen, Perisic, Naingolan, Vecino). They are still expecting a Barca bid for Lautaro Martinez too.

Conte was feuding with the board earlier this summer, which was somewhat resolved. But Inter fans seem worried that he’s obsessed only with winning the league next season and buying experienced players (just signed Kolarov) while losing out on long term young talent (Conte nixed the board’s deal for Tonali to try to buy Vidal). Weird vibes over there!

I literally don't get Inter wanting Ndombele with Conte as manager. And I don't get why Ndombele would have any interest in going there with Conte as manager. He's walking into the exact same situation where the manager will demand something that he isn't prepared to give.

Lol - they think we have problems.

Manager wants signings and Inter are like "Yeah, you can have whoever you want Ant, mate..."

"...oh, as long as they are free. We're not paying any fees"
Spent all their pennies signing Hakimi then realized they don't really have any players they want to sell that others want to buy other than Skriniar so similar to us their trying to hard sell their deadwood and hoping for the best.

Good. Hope they have a car crash of a season.

Conte has gone proper drunk with power. He was so respected at one point and now comes across as an utter loon.

It’s a shame. Having a special player in the middle of the park is really the difference. Dembele was so important because they couldn’t get the ball off him. Carrick wouldn’t dwell on it so long but could always receive it, find space & an angle. & Modric kind of combined both & was a world class player. As a long term Poch project TN had merit, Dembele took a while under Poch & you could see with time TN eventually becoming that kind of player. But Jose is obviously foremost about results. You could see why Winks played last season, because he stayed in position & recycled it quickly, & his, & Aurier’s limitations meant Sissoko had to play. & Lo Celso passed the test & was trusted. So that 3 picked itself. They were less risky than TN & we started to control games despite their limitations because they were adhering to a plan.

You could imagine Redknapp taking over this squad, putting an arm around TN & getting the best out of him, he seems introverted, & that’d be a nice team to see, eventually. Probably with a run of games he would start to dominate midfields like he did for Lyon. But Jose as a manager, for TN to get back in he’d have to show a good attitude, train well even if he’s not getting opportunities & when he does get opportunities take them, but still not expect to get picked. It’d be the making of the player & the manager does have high standards in that respect but maybe that’s the difference between being an awesome to watch Redknapp team, or what Jose seemed to be starting to build with those solid displays under the lockdown. So if we do trade him in for a more oven ready model I can get behind that, although it’s a shame, because he’s a talent.

It’s starting to come out now, i think journos have been putting the pieces together and are realising the club have been keeping the situation quiet or denying its existence so as to retain his market value to suitors. Strangely Gold and Kilpatrick don’t seem to have cottoned on in spite of more suspicious absences from training, matches and even photos. I expect it won’t be long until they do.

He’s clearly gone if there’s a decent bid, it will just be interesting to see what happens if we don’t get that bid. Would Mourinho even pick a kid like White over him if say Højbjerg ,Winks and Sissoko got injured? He’d have a hard time explaining that one without admitting the club have given up on Ndombele.

The absences are easily explained by Covid, and his recovery and lack of preseason will probably suffice as an excuse as to why he isn't featuring for the next five weeks until the windows closes, thereby allowing us to keep up the PR front that Jose rates his talent and it would take a huge bid to prise him away.

So tough to call because he is fully capable of ripping the League apart next season, but he's equally as capable of picking up another injury and letting his fitness spiral downwards. If we sell him, I think we need 2 midfield reinforcements to make up.

Why would any club not let this run until deadline and bid 30m for him? He’s clearly a lazy fucker.... no one is gonna buck up any proper money knowing spurs know he’s a fucking dud for us. If we’ve heard the issues then every football agent and team has, probably spot on the truth too. Not just what we hear. Gonna get bent over backwards on him unless he stays and knuckles down.

A lot of clubs are in this same boat at the moment I think.

Arsenal now have about a dozen CBs on the books and desperately need to shift some.

Tbf he’s quarantining with Covid so wouldn’t have been able to train or play in friendlies anyway.

They’re probably just reading SC to be fair. If we are waiting on him to be sold to generate funds it’s going to be a risky strategy. Hopefully Inter have committed to taking him because the market for him is small. Could even be on loan if someone offers us a big loan fee. (We are good at getting those, Fenerbache paid £7m or something like that to take Janssen for a season for example). Do that with a decent option to buy when club’s financials have got better in 12 months time could well be the only option if we want him out badly.
