Ndombele has always been frustrating, but in previous seasons he almost always had a few 'holy shit' moments whenever he played. The little compilations of his touches, even in his worse games, would still be filled with inventive passes, clever dummies and outrageous moments of skill.

This season, apart from the pass to Kane against Liverpool, I can barely recall any of those moments. He just looks a bit shit.

I've been a big Tanguy defender over the years but I'm well and truly done with him. We need to do whatever we can to get his wages off our books and find someone committed to the cause.

One of the most naturally talented players I've ever seen in a Spurs shirt, but also one of the weakest characters. He won't be missed.

It's a shame really. The only way is down after us. Will probably end up playing in the middle east after us.

Juventus really would be the perfect solution for us.

Suited to Serie A, big enough of a club for his ego and they'd be stupid enough to take on his high wages.

I'm sorry but get this waste of space out of our club. I cannot believe what I saw when he came on last night. His attitude is a disgrace!!!! In terms of what we paid for him, I would argue he's one of the worst signings we've ever made! It's criminal when you think about it, he is seriously talented and is wasting his career away! He has had attitude problems since his youth days so unfortunately he will never change. We just need to ship him off to Italy where he can just dawdle around the pitch all game. It angers me to see a player like Ndombele just wasting his talent!
one of the worst in football history I am afraid

He played the majority of the 2nd half in the number 10 role. He was brought on to occupy Jorginho. Which he did successfully. However, later on, you could see him not tracking back. Kane had to do that for him.

This is exactly it. He did his job.

He wasn't great on the ball - but who was?

Because he is lazy and still doesn’t do anything? He occupied Jorginho a bit but then didn’t track and didn’t make himself available.
He is literally only there to produce magic on the ball otherwise why not brings winks on to occupy jorginho or alli because at least they will work hard.

Astonishing isn’t it.
because he does the odd thing that others cant. unfortunately he doesn't do a lot of things that everyone has to do and doesn't even have enough respect for us fans who were desperate to back him to put in the effort when 200k of the money we help contribute to the club goes in his pocket every week. Cant stand him anymore.

My local five a side team, sponsored by Burger King, wouldn't touch him on last night's evidence lol

I was so happy when we locked down this much desired talent on a 6 year deal.
A 6 YEAR DEAL!!!

Such a shame that he just can't seem to be arsed.
As frustrating as Gio's injuries have been, at least he tries when he's on the pitch.

We all know Ndombele should have been a star player for us - at the time, he was the signing we all wanted and looked as the best possible 'Dembele replacement'.

As for Gio, it's just typical he pretty much never got injured in his career before coming to us. However, even back then I would have much preferred Grealish, and should have had him the year prior.

Yeah, my only ever concern over Grealish has been that he's always been a bit of a dick!

I'm always surprised by how many followers and apologists Ndombele has for a player who has done fuck all for us as fans and for the team. Why are people so attached to this player?

I remember getting loads of negative ratings after about 9/12 months of him being with us for pointing out what everyone does now. Thankfully the majority are seeing the light. He’s a waste of space.

Likewise! Was even broadly imputed as racist for describing him and his attitude as ghetto (by which I intended no racial connotations only to observe the persona archetype isolated, loner, victim/ 'nonchalant joker' - rather than go-getter ready to take on the world psychology) all things which are nakedly obvious at this point ...
c'est la vie

This is going to require some clever wheeling and dealing to get him to shift. The club could offer him on loan to one of the slower leagues like the La Liga/Serie A for the remainder of the season and use this as an opportunity to put him in the shop window. Then wait for the bigger clubs in those leagues or even the loanee club to bite. And hopefully in summer we get a decent offer and he's off.

That being said, I don't think we're getting the full amount that we paid for back, at least not in the initial sale. If we get back 40M, plus addons and a good sell on clause, we could potentially recoup what we initially paid for. It's a big if, but not impossible either.

The benefit of this is that we get to shift one of our highest wage earners and open up a spot for an incoming either this window or in the summer. On the flip side, we will not get back the entire 56M upfront and will have to compromise/wait to recover our investment. This is what FP has been brought in for, and I for one hope he has a better plan of moving him on and replacing him with a more effective, quality player that improves us overall.
