The problem is, does he need to play regularly?

We're talking about a player who's now in his mid twenties & has had something like half a dozen appearances for the French national team.

That suggests (to me) that he's either not fancied by whoever selects the French squad, or he's just not interested in putting on the effort/displays that would earn him more call-ups.

None of that is going to affect his £200k per week earnings. So does he really need to play regularly?
It depends does he want to be professional footballer or just a passenger. He needs to decide, if he wants to take a wage cut for loan to happen and play regular football or see his football career slip away.

His effort, or lack of it gives you the answer

Our worst ever signing imv and there’s stiff opposition as we all know

Definitely the most expensive mistake but Doherty still beats this as the worst signing in my memory.

Ndombele had a few good moments albeit a ****, Doherty isnt a **** but had one good half in 18 months..

Man I've piled into Doherty probably more than anyone on this site.

However, he doesn't deserve to be put anywhere near the same bracket as Ndombele when it comes to being our worst signing.

He hasn't stolen a living while with us. He's just not good enough! Ndombele is the polar opposite, in respect that he's capable of being good enough but just can't be bothered.

I know it is harsh but purely from a footballing aspect - Doherty has been awful whereas Ndombele is a good player but shit mentality.

To be honest we can have a top 10 of worst signings... and we would have tenfold in terms of potential entries into that

If we can't shift him I hope we make him train like a mad man every day just so he's fucking fit looking to shift come the summer.

Shouldn't let him away with collecting a huge pay packet whilst appearing to amble about the place.
Should have sent him to US Navy Seal boot camp at the start of the window.

He’d have been begging us for a transfer!

Would love him to go to Everton. Purely just to bring him down to earth.

A relegation scrap might actually do him some good.

I'd be quite annoyed after all his attitude problems he managed a step up to PSG. Definitely doesn't deserve that.

Yes ability wise I agree and Doherty should be shipped out asap but at least he makes an effort while wearing our shirt and it’s not his fault that he’s not up to standard more the fault of whoever decided to sign him
But Tanguy is a lazy disrespectful sonofabitch on £200+ k a week and I’m trying to choose my words carefully
