Some genuinely want him to fail and refuse to be happy for him. He scores a worldy on his debut and all I hear are “but…”

KInda backassward. And yeah, sorta sad too. His success is massively important for us. If he is below average for them, then he ain't goin' anywhere and we have to go through another summer of securing a loan for him again.

He does well, they trigger that 25M, then that's great for everyone involved.

It's called analysis.
It's called "I don't like him and despite what he does I'm sticking to it"

Glad to see there's still a few of us that actually appreciate he's an extremely talented player.

As I said in my previous post, I don't want him back as it just didn't work out. But those calling him a shit player clearly just watches MOTD highlights.

Hes ridiculously technically gifted.

I don't dislike him. I think he has ability but it's not enough for him to have a successful career at the top.

But if a player scores a worldy against low level opposition, there's nothing wrong with pointing that out.

Or, maybe it's optimism. Form has to start somewhere. And if this is what it takes, what difference does it make where it started? It's a confidence booster for him, hopefully. And what is good for him, is good for us.
I hope that is what happens. Still nothing with someone on an internet forum pointing that the level of the opposition plays a part in him scoring a high quality goal.

Fair enough mate.

I have to agree mostly, his technical ability in my opinion is up there with the very best. However he clearly lacks the determination and general will to be a top all round player.

It's ironic as he's the most anti Conte player there ever was. Conte brings the very best out out not technically gifted players by coaching them positioning, tactics, desire and literally when to pass and where.

Tanguy is never going to get on board with any of that unfortunately and that's why no top top clubs want anything to do with him. Such a shame really.

I’m gonna love seeing the backtracking on opinions as the season goes on….you read the last few pages of this thread and you would think the lad has no ability at all…
All I want is for him to play well enough to earn the move so he doesn’t end up coming back here. The sample size of his time here in England shows he can’t cut it in the Premier League,

Way over the top to describe him as ‘ridiculously technically gifted’, that is just setting the bar so low.

That’s ridiculous.
another player that gets so much hatred and vitriol from fans that they can’t even appreciate what positives the player does have.
Ndombele doesn’t have Work rate

but he is probably the most technically gifted with the ball that we’ve had for years. By this I mean his touch, control, dribbling, turning and ball manipulation. He’s always been able to do things with the ball that most players can’t.
The problems were that the opposition could deny him space easily (or just keep the ball).

I imagine he’ll start well at Napoli until opposition work out that you can manmark him or just kick him out the game

Please stop using the word hatred, there was no hatred in anything I posted. People are allowed opinions on players without people jumping on them saying hatred just because they don’t share said view.
