let's be honest, we all feared a bit when the first picture we saw after he'd signed for us was him tucking into a box of chicken nuggets and chips.

With the amount he's earned, he's set. Absolutely minted and hardly had to lift a finger. Wish my life was in such a mess.
Exactly. Hard to see him have the micky taken out of him but his lack of professionalism and discipline to simply staying fit as a professional athlete, is unacceptable.

Got to be up there as one of the biggest wastes of talent ever?

I still stand by my statement that peak N'Dombele was up there with some of the best i've personally seen in a Spurs shirt technically, never thought id see a player beat players so easily and effortlessly after the GOAT Moussa had to basically retire, but this guy was up there. He actually had the potential to be even better, he had good vision and could score goals. Shame it was only shown in fits and spurts.

There's clearly an issue with him, whether he's like our madman Benoît Assou-Ekotto and genuinely isn't interested in football (However, atleast BAE still stayed professional and stayed fit and performed) Or he has a deeper issue. But obviously as a 27 year old professional footballer that should be in their physical and ability prime this is kind of crazy.

If he wants to throw his talent and career away that is on him, however we shouldn't be paying him £220k a week to eat burgers, its a piss take and disrespectful to the club and fans 😡

Mate, it's done. We have been paying him that to take the piss for years. No revelation!

Turkish food. Moreish mmmmmm
Jeez, I played with fitter looking pub players twenty years ago and they loved a good after hours Turkish, trouble is he’s the size of a Turkish restaurant so it begs the question just how much does he put away in an average sitting?

The guy is an absolute disgrace, he's completely wasted his career but clearly doesn't care whilst raking in a huge wage. At least we should be in good hands with Ange and the new recruitment team in terms of identifying the right kind of character as well because I'm almost certain a Ndombele type player would never come through the door now. It angers me to see these photos/videos, maybe he has some serious issues but I think it's disgusting how a professional footballer can allow themselves to get to this point. And yet we still have to care about what's happening with him for another 18 months 🤦🏼‍♂️

Lesson learned. Character above all - even talent - or you'll cause yourself more problems than you solve. Any hint of issues and give a player the swerve.

Some of the clips of that game are quite worrying to me.

It’s not just the weight he’s gained, it’s the way he’s moving. The fidgeting with his shorts, the near constant adjustments of his gloves and tugging at his collar. I don’t think he is a well man at all.

Clearly that’s very much conjecture on my part as I don’t know the guy and haven’t spent any time with him. It’s just that these are mannerisms and behaviours I’ve seen in people who are struggling.

Even if he has to leave football behind entirely I hope the guy’s going to be okay.

That makes me think of Jonathan Trott, when his fidgeting before every delivery got worse and worse. Turned out he was really struggling with mental health issues and he eventually had to come back home from tour.

But then, on the other hand you have Steve Smith, who does the same sort of things at the crease but it's just his routine.

Who knows what is up with Tanguy but whatever it is, it's not good for anyone.
