With Raiola presumably making the de Ligt price astronomical, Toby staying would surely be the best outcome for Spurs as a team.

I guess he's confused as to why people think Levy wants to sell him.

Yeah that's how I read it.

Doesn't rule Poch wanting him out or the player wanting to leave or too much money though.

I'd be happy for Poch and him to make up. Hopefully he's been sending the texts Kane was talking about to our Belgian lads too!

I'd be delighted if he could agree a new deal on the same terms on Jan. Showed last night he still has it in him despite the injuries.

Well having watched the game yesterday, I really want Toby too stay. I would like to think that there must be some middle ground whereby the club and Toby can sought out their differences. I don't expect the club to give in unless too much water has gone under the bridge.

Agreed. Toby was superb last night. Think I’ll have a little cry if we end up selling him to Man U this summer

Back 5 of Trippier Toby Sanchez Jan Rose: dreamy.

If I were United I would wait, really simple really.

Tell Toby that they will pay him a 5 mil signing on fee and sign him for 25 mil next season.

They would pay 30 mil in total and also have a much better idea how many years he has left in him.

To pay 70 mil now is like saying one season with Toby is worth 40. If Spurs want rid I would be surprised if they get more than 50.

Infact if anyone from another league offers anymore than 40, I would probably accept it.

Sorry but that question mark in JJetset's post confuses me. If it was an exclamation mark I would understand but what is the question mark supposed to mean ?

It's valid punctuation, albeit non-standard, and is used at the end of a statement as a sort of implied question - e.g. "No he doesn't - why would you think that?"

Same as things like "I'm not sure?" and "He didn't say anything?". They're not really questions, but tend to be responses towards unexpected questions or statements. At least that's my always been my understanding.

So, basically, he's saying "No he doesn't, why would you say that?"

Mourinho...Does he plan that far ahead? He wants his man and he wants him now. Its getting to that time where he falls out with everyone and packs his bag.

If Belgium win the world cup I cant see his price tag beeing below 60. If United want him they have go give us Martial, I would also be Happy to take Lindelöf (obviuosly not as a straight swap) who is a great defender and class with the ball, breaking the lines and hoing forward. He had Bern poor under Mourinho but thats because United use him the wrong way. Think he would flourish under Poch. Hes been Swedens stans out player this WC.

It's the Antipodean High Rising Terminal where every sentence is turned into a bloody question, but now it's appearing in written speech too?

I hope Toby sees sense and both Poch and Levy do a turn around and retain him. With Rose coming back to his best and Trippier coming of age in this WC, that would be one bad ass defense when we add Sanchez and Verts into the equation
