I think we all knew this anyway.....

No one can force a player to move unless he wants to ! The two clubs can have 1000 agreements ! It's all down to a player !

According to the Southampton fans I have been reading if both clubs match offers he will join them as they think Southampton are the better club and will finish above Spurs next year, apparently last year it was just pure luck we finished above them.

Also they seem to think Levy is Satan incarnate :D

Just tweeted this:

This is just Part 1 :ROFLMAO:

Ask him why his Twitter handle is '@Lovrenology' when it used to be something named after Jose Fonte. He seems to have not learned from doing all this nonsense already with LFC fans about Clyne.

(Hint: Which is why he now has the Twitter name he has despite hating Dejan Lovren).

Here's the actual tweet that explains his twitters handle:

I am so confident Clyne will not go to Liverpool, if he does I will dedicate my account to Dejan Lovren for 6 months, never going to happen!!!

It seems he hasn't learned and is doing same to you. he was made to look stupid about Clyne and the same will happen here with Toby.

Fecking Southampton fans. Had he been that excited to be joining, what exactly do they think he's waiting for lol.

So do we, we're just glad he's on our side (sometimes)

Was excited about this with Southampton having the best defense in the Prem and all but statistically looking at their CBs, it's not all that different from ours. Has to be said again that the difference must lie in the defensive midfield, I'd prefer we went for a higher-£££ destroyer there than another CB to add. But I won't complain if Toby comes.

Verts signing for Man U rumours appearing now.

To me that makes more sense re Alderweireld than ending up with 5 CBs, or losing our only physical one (Fazio)

This snippet probably summarizes it the best:

Even if Southampton can prove selling Alderweireld to Spurs would breach terms of last season's loan agreement, the Belgian will still have the final say in where he ends up.

Saints head of football development Les Reed is planning to fly to Madrid this week to resolve the situation.

If Alderweireld insists he wants a switch to Spurs, the south coast club could use the clause as leverage to receive a lucrative compensation package from Atletico.

If AM did agree to pay Southampton compensation for Alderweireld signing for us then I'm sure they'd pass those costs right on to THFC by increasing the asking price. Which might make the total cost of the deal too rich for our blood.

I don't think they would. They'd still be making a good profit as any compensation would be relative.

And they could risk losing money if they did that and we pulled out, Southampton would be free to take him for the much lower agreed fee.

All AM want is the best deal for themselves.
