weak? Not bothered if we keep him or not, he does lack pace, although I don't think Sanchez is good enough to be his replace, way to weak and makes too many errors.

weak?
Yeah I've got to admit that one's stumped me too.
Always getting pushed off the ball especially at pace
Always getting pushed off the ball especially at pace
Always? Nah.
Gotta agree with @tiger666 here. There have been times where he's been ushered off the ball, but there's also been more than a few times where he's used a good amount of power & aggression when chasing back and stopping shooting chances when we've been caught on the break etc.
I mean the fact Toby barely played indicates that Poch didn't see much of a need for him. Can't say I've personally heard or read anything about Poch saying he's happy to sanction any transfer of Alderweireld (the bit in bold) but.....
SkySports Michael Bridge : “Alderweireld, I can’t see him staying at Tottenham. As it stands, Manchester United are the club who want him.
“They are the frontrunners, I can’t see anyone in La Liga spending the sort of money that Tottenham want. Obviously Spurs fans will be saying ‘we don’t want to sell to a top-six rival’.
He added: “But Mauricio Pochettino, who has signed his new deal to 2023, he’s the one who is saying ‘I’m happy to sanction it. Manchester United are the club who are speaking to Tottenham Hotspur.”

Yes but Bridge has literally quoted Poch there ?.... he’s the one who is saying ‘I’m happy to sanction it. Manchester United are the club who are speaking to Tottenham Hotspur.”
Wait you think that’s a quote from Poch?
Wait you think that’s a quote from Poch?
The way it’s posted above it would seem so.
It's written as a quote. Bridge literally qoutes, "I’m happy to sanction it. Manchester United are the club who are speaking to Tottenham Hotspur. "... It's in here - https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/f...ireld-Spurs-Mauricio-Pochettino-latest-update
I really couldn’t give a shit what fee they pay us. It’s bad enough having to compete with a team who can pay players half a million a week and who could very well sign one of the best players I’ve ever seen pull on our shirt, without letting them take one of our key players.
It shouldn't really need explaining but this is the journo summarizing what he believes to be Poch's position by (literally) putting words into his mouth.
No one is claiming it's a direct quote.
I just don't get it, though . How could he / they print "I'm happy to sanction it" if those words weren't spoken?
Sorry
