How the fuck do you expect me to be optimistic? My country is going to hell in a hand basket either way and Spurs arent giving me a reason to be optimistic.

Today should be a fun day!! Hold your horses world, you could have a yellow haired fart declaring war on your ass or a yapping chihuahua that you want to punt kick.

This is locker room talk, it is all locker room talk, Tottenham has enemies, Arsenal is an enemy, and I will fight them, I will fight our enemies, and this is all locker room talk.

Just because a lot of us wants another striker doesn't mean that we have given up on Janssen. He can still come good, but it wouldn't hurt to have some competition. This isn't a charity and it's important to have alternatives that can be given a chance to shine. We only have two natural strikers and i think most people would agree that we need at least 3. A lot of other teams have more striker options because they know that having someone who can put the ball into the goal is pretty important in football.

Also people talking about Lacazette and other top strikers, but in reality we just need another backup who can bag a few goals and be content with being behind Kane.

One or two goals from our striker and no one would talk about our mini crisis.

Most teams have 2 natural strikers in their squad because 3 is overkill.

Very disappointed with his performance on Sunday,. Previously had seen encouraging signs but looked just not a footballer!

Still confident he will come good, but as with any striker going through a barren spell, get in the box and pick up the tap ins - pisses me off when our sole striker is deep or wide and no one is in the box.

Oh my, what short memories people have.

Absolutely correct, and it's a bit of a joke that you've got 7 negatives for this comment.

When Kane first started, by far the most common comment about him was bewilderment that anyone so limited ever made it so far at a top-flight club. It wasn't just that he was bad, it was that he showed no signs of even being in the ballpark of good. You couldn't see hope in his finishing, his control, not in his movement or pace, not his vision...nothing. It seemed to most observers - myself included - that he lacked even the slightest sign that he would develop as he has.

It is absurd that all the Monday-morning quarterbacks are now remembering it differently.

I think a lot of people remember him playing a few Europa league games under Redknapp early in his career and he looked good for a young player then. He hit the post a few times, won a penalty and looked like he had an eye for goal. I don't think anyone would have predicted he would become the player he is now, but there were definitely some positive comments about him.

As for Janssen, the juries still out, but while he's adapting to a new country, new team mates and double training sessions it's probably not the best time to judge him.
