I hope we get the game under control so he can get a run out. 2-0 up with 15-20 minutes to go will be good for him. Seems Kane felt something after Stoke so Poch should be more mindful about his workload.

Pochettino very positive with his training effort and quality to get into the first team over the last couple of weeks, in todays presser. Basically saying he's responded well to not getting on and not starting.

Obviously his plan all along. I really don't think he will move on in the summer. I think we might bring another forward in though.

Think he deserves another season, with another striker added.

If another striker is added it's game over for him really though. We only play one up and there would probably be only one place for a striker on the bench, particularly if we keep Son who can also play upfront.

We cannot go into another season with just 2 strikers. Even if Janssen was pulling up trees. You need 3 strikers.

Depends on the new striker, if he's a quick, poacher type like M Owen or Defoe then Janssen would still get games. If we sign a hold up striker, Sheringham, Shearer type, then yes 3rd choice behind Kane and new striker, he'd leave in Jan if not the summer

I think Pochettino likes a small squad of versatile multi-positional players. So I think Son is his 3rd striker (as well as being an option across the 3 attacking midfield slots).

He's also openly praised Shayon Harrison and Kaziah Sterling before and said he would be looking to them to step up.

I think Kane is going to play the majority of games when fit and he is a fit and he isn't prone to injuries. Son will be. A useful 3rd option so unless Son goes you're looking at Janssen struggling to make the bench if another player comes in.

Don't think we will sign an Owen/Defoe type as I've never seen a Pochettino team play with one of those regularly?

I like Janssen but I did not get the impression pochettino has changed his view on Janssen. Seemed like a diplomatic response to the question, certainly was not excited to talk about Janssen's qualities.

Shayon not going to make it with us, and Sterling is way too young, and at least couple years away, as well as being 17 years old. Son is not a third striker. Does not matter how you sugar coat it, we need another striker, alongside Janssen. Hasn't this season taught us anything? Good thing Poch thinks totally different.

If Janssen is sold, we will bring in another striker which is obvious. And like it or not he would probably sign Zaha with the mindset he would play the loan role of needed up front. It does not mean that is my choice. Looks like that to me though.

How is Zaha playing up top any different than Son?

I do think that Poch sees him as a possible Ronaldo or Bale-esque uber forward in the making. Before the torrent of disagree ratings, I'm not saying he is as good them, just that they were wingers who were converted into forwards because of their speed and power.

Anything I say is not necessarily what I would do, but believe if we got say 30m for Son, they would sell. Zaha to me has talent, but highly inconsistent, but he can play that role. If we got that kind of money for son, it would allow us to go for a cheaper option like the kid (name slips me) at Leicester, and then invest in an alternative striker 'with pace' Poch's criteria. Depending on cost again, may be a choice between Zaha and Mahrez. Hope that makes sense. Just looking at logic, that's all.

You could be right be if what Hercules says is right (we sell Janssen and buy an out and out striker as Kane back up) then what's the point in signing Zaha for the purpose of converting him into a striker?

If poch sees him as a Bale-Esque type forward fine just sell Janssen and have Zaha as your back up to Kane (who can also compete with Son.

He was talking about buying flexible players today though. So say we sell Janssen and bought Lacazette (I know) and Zaha - then we could have two players that could play either side of Kane in a three, in a two together if Kane was out - or perhaps up top alone.

"Is not an icey gap to close" (Chelsea)

"Now with stiff kitchen we are woking hard to try and find player to improve" (Recruitment)

Glad to hear he seems to have a good working relationship with Levy.

The Kane situation was something many of us were a bit annoyed about, and I questioned using Vertonghen fresh back from being "insured" three times in his first week back as well.

He does do some odd things. Janssen and Son on the bench 4-0 up at half time with Kane already having a hatrick in the bag. Waits until there's a few minutes left and now Kane is a a very slight doubt, and even if he plays you wonder if he could now aggravate a minor injury into a more serious one ?

That's only possible if you look at him through a 1970's kaleidoscope whilst on fucking acid.
